re the review in which writer said he noticed 30 or 40 dead insects. That could only have been a coincidence. This product claims to REPEL, not to kill, insects et al!! Don't know if it works, as just got one today. Read somewhere that certain rodents get used to the ultrasonic sounds, and come back. (assuming it chased them away, which is something I'll have to wait to find out).Hmm....

I live in a new construction home, and was having problems with roaches and spiders coming in from the outside. Best product for getting rid of sugar ants
This is by far the best bait trap I've tried for getting rid of sugar or sweet ants. I've used them at my home and office and the ants are immediately attracted to it. Just place one along the trail. After two days, they were gone. This product was recommended to me by an ant exterminator after I had unsuccessfully tried other bait traps sold by the local hardware stores.
Word of caution--do not use in areas where pets might get to it. The exterminator told me his mother-in-law's dog ate two of the traps and died.
It is also fascinating to watch the ants crawl in, eat, leave and communicate with the other ants along the trail, as bizarre as it may sound. ... Read more
