Excellent product, easy to handle, simple design
I've been using this stand (and the hammock combo) for about 6 weeks now and I couldn't be happier. The stand is 5 pieces that go together easily, no tools, muss, or fuss. It was exactly what I needed since my yard has exactly one tree.

The hammock that Amazon basically gave away with the combo is not the best hammock you can buy (I mostly use my own) but you can't really argue with free. It is a almost too short for my 6' height and the ropes are quite a bit thicker than the hammock I had previously (and still mostly use). I take this hammock with me on picnics and such and figure it's disposable if it gets damaged while on the road.

I am not a small person, 6' 270 lbs., and I do have the hammock in the highest position using the chains, but I have had no problems with the stand or the hammock. Two good sized people and a child have used the hammock with no problems (still under the stated 500 lb. limit).

Because of the simplicity of design and the easy breakdown and setup I have taken the hammock to picnics and parties in my trunk (I do have to fold the back seat down to fit the long pieces).

My only wish were that the pipe ends had some kind of rubber seal, or maybe a locking pin, that would make it a little easier for one person to move the stand around when mowing (it comes apart easily if you try to pull on one end, but never while using it). If you have two people carefully moving it there is no problem, with one person you have to walk it back and forth.

Cool Stand and Durable
This is a great hammock stand. I bought it for my husband along with a great hammock from amazon for his birthday last summer. This stand is so strong and durable. My husband and I and all 4 of our young children have laid in the hammock and it never wobbled. It's easy to move to mow around and the green blends in with the woods and grass around our yard. A MUST FOR ANY HAMMOCK USER!!

Good but not the best
I bought the set with the hammock plus this stand. I will say it was worth the $99 I spent but it does have negatives. The stand has no interlocking parts. This makes the stand hard to move when it is assembled as it does not lock together. This annoys me as the locking parts would have probably cost an extra $3 on the price. Cutting corners like this seems almost foolish to me as the locks would be worth it. Otherwise the stand seems strong and works well. The hammock I recieved had a tag made in India and by the looks of it labor was not the only thing they saved on. The rope looks kind of cheap and the hammock needs to be hung high or when your in it you will sit on the floor. I guess for free I am happy enough with the hammcok but it is cheaply made!

Omni Swings n' Things Hammock Stand,Green
I purchased the hammockstand and hammock in two seperate orders. I received the hammock than used the Ups tracking on the day they said it went out for delivery,itstated that the carrier refused it due to damage and that it was being returned to sender. The next day the Ups delivered it with an apology from the driver and said that he was told to deliver it to me. The box it cam in was worn,and nothing but tape all around holding the box together. After taking the stand out of the box it went together in less than five minutes. The hammock stand is great with my only complaint is how it was shipped. One thing also is the customer has to supply the hooks and chains which costs around four dollars.

Doesn't Fit
I bought the hammock with accompanying stand. The rope hammock is way too long for the stand. My teenager weighs about 100lbs
and when he gets in the hammock,it stretches so much that he is virtually on the ground. Bought as Christmas present and what a disappointment this summer. Looks pretty, thus one star. I suggest you buy only the hammock and make sure you have two big trees to tie it tautly. ... Read more

An Oasis Outdoors.
My husband and children purchased the Castaway Rope Hammock as a birthday gift for me. I love the detail of the craftsmanship. We purchased a frame from a local retailer so that it can be moved around the yard depending on the need at the time. The 13 foot length just fits in the frame. I wanted the hammock, so I could enjoy the out doors with my family. Do to illness, I have to take alot of down time, most of the time it is indoors, because it is hard to get comfortable outdoors. But now, when I need down time, and everyone else is outside, I use my hammock,the large width even allows my children to snuggle and enjoy our time together. It is relaxing, comfortable and just fits my need for an " Oasis".

Two people? I don't think so!
The ... description says this hammock can accommodate two adults. Not bloody likely! Maybe if those two adults were Kate Moss and Lara Flynn Boyle; but an average-weight woman and man? Uh-uh. You'd be resting on the bar of the hammock stand; this hammock is way too saggy for that.

I'm a little concerned about the fact that it's made of cotton rope; I think nylon rope would be much more durable and weather-resistant. Still, it's not a bad hammock for the price (free with the purchase of the stand), and it is dangerously comfy. Practically every time I lie down on it, intending to spend some time with a book, I end up taking a nap. D'oh!

I'm going to Scotchguard it and probably still take it in when the weather gets icky. We'll see how long it lasts; I won't feel ripped off if I end up buying a better hammock next year.

Try it: You'll like it!
I brought a hammock stand home because I thought it might be something we could enjoy but the store didn't have any more hammocks. I found this one online here at Amazon[.com]. After the hammock arrived, our fun started with hooking it to the stand. We weren't sure how many links to leave hanging; the first try yielded a seat on the ground. It took three tries and a great deal of laughter to get the right height so we could swing, not sit. Now when we can, we thoroughly enjoy relaxing (one at a time, though) in our back yard. I usually take a pillow, the book I'm currently reading, maybe a light cover in case it's a little cool, a clock for when I get curious about the time, and occasionally a snack. Two hours, usually including a nap, can pass like nothing. It's really a neat experience, relaxing and refreshing, and a way to put some calm into craziness. Even my husband, who snickered at the idea at first, has really enjoyed it. He lays on a comforter and says it's totally comfy.

We found the hammock to be well-constructed. It is everything the product description says it is. Somethimes it's hard to judge what a product will be like in "real life" when just a picture is available. However, the description and the product are exact matches. Go for it! You'll have a great time!

Not the best - Only buy it if it is free!
I ordered the stand and recieved this hammock for free with it. I am glad it was free as it is cheaply made. The tag on it reads made in India and it looked it. This hammock sinks to the ground when I sit on it. I am a big guy but not close to the 400 pound weight limit I read when I bought it. This thing is only good for free. I am sure it will not last long.

It's like it's made of elastic instead of cotton.
I got the hammock/hammock stand combo deal... not such a good deal at all. The hammock is attached to the stand as tightly as possible, without any slack in the chain, and this hammock sags all the way to the ground with just one person. When adding a second, you may as well just lie in the grass.
And it's not as though I was pushing the 400 pound weight limit -- hubby and me combine are barely 250 pounds.
The most unfortunate part is that the expense to return it all negates the refund, so this ends up being over a hundred dollars thrown away. ... Read more

great; weight limit & hardware
This is a beautiful, sturdy, well-designed product. At first I thought it would look silly in a New England apartment, but then I sat in it and stopped caring. It's that comfortable. It's also fairly unobstrusive, and in a pinch (toddlers visiting? landlord dropping by?) it's easy to substitute a hanging plant or just unhook the chain from the ceiling altogether.

As far as safety, if you install it correctly you have nothing to worry about; yes, it will hold two people at once. :-) You'll need to buy a length of chain at the hardware store -- ask for 3/16" link, 750-lb test, and get one or two S-hooks that fit through a link. The chair itself is rated to support up to 500 lbs. Finally, a 2" x 4" ceiling joist will support 450 lbs over a 10-foot span before it begins to bow or buckle. Recommended . . . enjoy!

MY WIFE LOVES IT
My wife and kids love the chair, but I don't care for it that much. I thought the chair was a little bit constricting. Assembly was easy. Give yourself alot of room for it, the base is huge.

Nice, but doesn't last outside
I bought one for my wife for Christmas 2 years ago, and it was inside most of the time for the first year, and outside most of the second year, and the small ropes in the seat broke and the chair developed large holes as it raveled apart.
We live in Florida, but it was under a big oak tree, so it was shaded all day.
Ropes also got dirty looking fast.

Nice, but not comfortable

I'll be outside...
I wasn't surprised to learn that my Chaise Lounge chairs were back ordered. At this price and no charge for shipping, I imagined the whole country waiting for theirs! It was easy as pie to track the shipping status so I knew when to expect them. There aren't many times I've assembled anything but I found this easy as well. I'm pleased with the quality of the wood used. All the bolts and washers and so on were present. It is light enough to move from the shade of a tree to the sun on the deck. The back support is a tad short even at five foot four. It did not stop me from having a well deserved nap. The dog is lovin' it as well but he thinks it's a sofa and we need to cuddle...it's too hot! Looks great, feels solid, totaly functional slide out table for a number of items. You'll like it!A five star rating if it came put together.

love them for the money
We received these for Christmas and had been waiting to put them together. They are easy to assemble and my husband did all four in a little over an hour. We also sanded them lightly with an electric sander and applied teak oil. Oiling is the way to go. They look beautiful. There are a couple of spots that aren't ideal, but I knew that before buying from other reviews, so I expected it. We just sanded those spots a little more and they look fine. As I read in another review, they are a little short. I'm 5 foot 7 and they are exactly as long as me. The description says 70 inches long, but that must be including the tips of the sides. The seating area is 67 inches. I measured for cusions and the back is 25 inches and bottom is 42 inches, so 67 inches. The biggest problem with this is the back - when I sit up, it hits right at the base of my neck so there's no leaning your head back unless you scooch down in the chair. Still - for the price, I love them and I'm sure will get lots of enjoyment from them.

Chips & Dents Easily
What this product makes up for in beauty, it lacks in sturdiness. We found that it took several tries to receive a lounge that was neither chipped or dented, and eventually returned our.

poorly made lounges
I purchased 2 of these and yes they assemble very easily. However, both of them have broken after less than 2 months. One of them split on the backside where you lay it down. My son leaned back and it just cracked!!! (He weighs 50 lbs!) The other cracked several days later the same way. There was no force and it was being lowered slowly. What a shame, the placement of the bolts seem to be a contributing factor.

The wood is cheap jointed pieces pretending to be solid wood. The main frame of the chaise gave way at one of these jointed areas the very first time the chaise was used. I am awaiting a refund. Question of quality
I was very excited to have the 2 benches that I ordered arrive in such a timely manner. The boxes were a bit tattered since they weighed 90 lbs a piece. When I took all of the pieces out of the box I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the wood. They say they are oak but not the oak I am use to seeing. The wood is a bit rough and not smooth at all. There were a few nicks on the arm pieces and one was actually cracked. I will have to either put a coat of urethane on them just to see if that will help. The benches did go together fairly easy "No Man Required" yet I did have to use some balancing tricks to get them together. All in all after I do some minor "fix Ups" I believe that they will be a wonderful asset to my patio. ... Read more

Sturdy but poorly packed.
Mine arrived missing two of the screws that hold the little rubber feet to the underside of the base. The product box was far to flimsy for shipping, and was ripped open along half the seems and not much stiffer than tissue paper by the time I received it from FedEx Ground. Amazon would have been happy to pay the return shipping, but when I told them that all I needed was the two screws, they gave me the manufacturer's phone number, whom I called and who quickly mailed the missing parts to me.

Otherwise, the stand is solid, sturdy, very heavy, and has no problem holding my 9 foot market umbrella all by itself, without the need for a table. Unlike another reviewer who reported a plastic screw, my stand uses a steel bolt to attach the support tube to the base. And, my umbrella stood straight upright as soon as the two set-screws in the support tube were tightened against the umbrella pole.

good thing it came free
Not worth buying it by itself - comes free with the market umbrella and that is the only value --- it is crooked and probably works best, as written in the other reviews, as part of an outdoor patio table.

you need a table to add support
you will need the additional support of a table to use the nine ft. umbrella with this stand. the knobs are plastic and break easily. the recommended 9ft umbrella leans slightly in the stand, ie. wont stay perpendicular. overall, you get what you pay for...

Sturdy, Attractive, Roomy, Easy to Assemble
This is a large chest that holds a lot, heavy weight, very sturdy an attractive. We thought it was easy to assemble, I don't know why others had so many problems, we're not really very "handy" an it went together in less than an hour. We think it was a very good value. Shipped very promptly.

Don't Buy This Defective Product
I wish I had read the other reviews before ordering this piece of crap cedar storage bench. This is anything except "easy to assemble" as there were two holes predrilled incorrectly, and the interlocking anchors make it quite difficult to re-drill the holes (which I managed to do with some difficulty). In addition, the hinges provided either do not fit the job, or again the specs of this need-to-assemble storage box were off so that you have to cut several corner pieces to allow the top to seat correctly in place. I can say that this is the worst example of engineering thatI have ever seen. Moreover, I had also ordered two of the planter-trellances, which began to fall apart as I assembled it (requiring additional glueing and additional screws just to keep it together). No more purchases from this company for me!

Great appearance, but difficult to assemble
The storage chest arrived in a timely manner and looks great. However, when assembling, the holes didn't match up and had to be redrilled. The hinges weren't right, and we had to buy different hinges. It wasn't worth the hassle!

Fell apart in 4 days
Looks nice and is a nice size but provided screws pulled out after 4 days with barely any use. I can't recommend this, save your money for higher quality.

A shame it arriveddamaged....
My table arrived today with the underside completely shattered. I am returning it in exchange for a new one. One good note though- the bottom is made of some sort of safety glass so most of the glass was contained. A bonus for people with pets and children. Now I will await the arrival of my new one...not soon enough.

Wonder of wonder! I love my hammock!
I love my hammock. I actually have 2 now, and they are both in my backyard. I like the white because it goes well with my yard, and sometimes with the multi colored ones you never know what you're going to get. It is also extremely comfortable. If you combine this with the smell of cut grass and a cool breeze and I think you may have just found the key to life.

Made of durable Nylon threading, colors re-creating Mexican sunsets, able to hold up to a 1000 pounds of body weight, this is a beauty of a hammock. My sister has one up at her lake cottage and we almost have to take numbers to get a turn in it! Even the animals love it-it has held up to dogs, cats, squirrels, and five rousting male species--all at one time.

This hammock is easy to hose off for cleaning and wears well in all climates. At this bargain price--I just might have to get her another one, for me.

Kids love it
We've had the hammock for a month, now. I hung it between two trees. We use it for relaxing (adults should lie diagonally for the most comfort), and even as a big swing for the kids. We've never tried two adults at a time, but one adult and one kid fit just fine. And, kids can hang onto it easily to be safe while swinging. My daughter loves to pretend she's a butterfly in a chrysalis by wrapping the sides around her. The colors and weave are nice-looking. I'm happy with it!

Did i hang it wrong???
I bought mine on Cozumel and hung it when i got home. But when you get into it, it feels like you're lying on a flat board, the sides dont go up around you, and it feels like if you were to turn or shift around, you'd just fall out of it (it's a one person hammock). If I did hang it without doing something additional to it (i just hung it from the loops on the ends), please tell me how to fix it! Thanks!

Mayan hammocks rule!
I lived for two years on the Yucatan peninsula and slept in nothing but these hammocks. I personally think that if you sleep in them right they are more comfortable than beds! There's a trick to sleeping or resting in them -- you don't lie in them like a regular hammock (you'd feel like a banana!)... you lie in them diagonally, and if you get it right you won't even need a pillow.

The larger hammocks will let you fit two people comfortably (lying diagonally of course), and they even make good baby swings (wrap the sides up to get some space between the threads, then clasp them up at the top).

I have six hammocks made by the locals in Merida, but if you get one of these you'll not regret it.

Ugly
This is one ugly hammock. It was a gift and would not have been my choice. It is large enough to hold two people, which might sound like fun, but you end up practically lying on top of each other because it has no spreaders. What a deal!
I ordered this table and the chairs and just put it together this weekend (what a breeze, but a cordless drill with the right bit helped speed up the process!) in time for July 4th celebration on the patio. Everyone was so impressed with the quality and I couldn't resist telling of the bargain prices. I would definately recommend as the table and the chairs are well made and look like I spent a fortune!

This is a very nice table!
I was very pleasantly surprised when I received this table last Tuesday as it came way ahead of the estimated delivery date. Assembly was a snap in that only the legs needed to be attached. It is well constructed as well as nice
appearance-wise. I plan to order another.

Exactly as expected!
The table was very well packed and I put it together in 10 mins. It is very light but seems well made and exactly as I had hoped. A few rough edges could be sanded but, with an unberalla in the center looks great on our patio.

Very nice for the price!
I looked at so many different table/chair sets for our new deck and definitley wanted wood. THe table-top is very well constructed although the table legs were a little less substantial, but still is sturdy enough for it's intened use.
Very simple to put together; a kid could do it. Has a nice reddish color, however We decided to put on a protective oil-based stain, the same stain we used on our cedar planks and now it matches the deck perfectly. Really nice for the price. Target sells a similar table set, but the color is more of a brown shade. I ordered the chairs to match, but they have not arrived yet. I'll fill you in when they do. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the skinny table legs. Otherwise, you shouldn't be dissapointed with this table. ... Read more

BISTRO CHAIRS
HORRIBLE!!! These chairs were totally protected by the weather, I've owned them 5 months, and the chair gave away at the armrest. No warning, I sat down with my coffee, and fell. The manufacture needs to know about this, but I didn't keep any paper work. My blind cousin also bought them the same time as me, and hers gave way 2 months later.

Flimsy Chairs my store would not take back because they were
I weight about 130 lbs and these chairs gave away at the armrest . They buckled and the chairs slpilt. And I have to not get a refund because they are a seasonal item.

OK. I'm not Kate Moss but I'm not exactly a giantesse. These chairs are EXTREMELY flimsy. The arm rests, where all the weight comes together to put stress on the chair's joints, are the only spot on the chair that's plastic. A New Outdoor Space
An unused outdoor patio was transformed by the addition of the Oxford Chadwick Armchairs and other coordinating Oxford pieces. I had initially wanted to purchase teak furniture but after visiting several garden stores and searching on-line I was discouraged by the high price. One of the garden stores suggested shorea as an alternative, sighting the similar qualities to teak less the high price. Remembering an insert in the Sunday paper I search Amazon.com plus several other sites. I choose to make my purchase from Amazon.com because of their reputation and also I could not find a better price anywhere!

The pieces arrived and were very easy to assemble. The quality is as good as any of the higher priced garden stores. My once unused space is now furnished better that some indoor rooms of my house!

I was so pleased I told a friend who purchased a table and 4 matching chairs!

Quality and Style -- Take it from a Wood Worker
I was surprised and pleased to receive the four Chadwick Collection Oxford Garden Designs armchairs I ordered only three days earlier. As a wood worker myself, I was amazed at the quality of construction, elegance of design and sturdiness of the assembled chairs. While the first chair took about fifteen minutes to assemble while reading instructions, the remaining three took only about five each. More importantly, the shorea wood came very close to matching the teak wood table I also bought (just a shade more red and with a bit less distinctive wood grain), thereby saving me about half the price of teak chairs. Moreover, the shorea wood chairs are noticably more substantial in weight and therefore would seem more durable. The only negative with the chairs was some small glue spots which became apparent with dampness. About ten minutes of light hand sanding corrected the problem for all four chairs. I couldn't be more delighted with the quality and workmanship of the chairs and have considered taking off the metal labels to encourage friends to think I made them!

Pleased, but...
I spent an hour today putting together two of the Oxford Garden Desighns Chadwick Collection armchairs, plus the rectangular dining table. They were really easy to put together - so easy, in fact, that I'm a bit worried that they won't hold up. They are very attractive, however, so I have my fingers crossed. In all seriousness, they do seem at least as well put together as what I found in stores (and for much less money). The only drawback is that imperfections in some of the wood pieces, which I understand are normal, can't be easily dealt with (or swapped out), as would presumably be the case if I'd bought these locally. ...
