Do not purchase.
My Mosquito Magnet would not start this year after two years of operation. Over its lifetime, it has caught very few mosquitos, consumed a lot of expensive propane and mosquito magnet accessories, and has had to go to the factory for repair (first time was under warranty). Today it would not start. Tech support tells me that the carburetor is clogged and that there is not a whole lot to be done about it. Their solution is to propose to sell me a *new* powerpack ($500) or a entire new unit.

This has been a very expensive product for two years of unreliable service.

Update
I returned the Mosquito Deleto today. It attracted mosquitos similar to the Mosquito Magnet Freedom but unfortunately very few mosquitos would get caught on the fly paper. The Mosquito Magnet counter current system that vacuums the mosquitos is vastly superior WHEN IT WORKS. The problem is one of defective units and poor customer service. I may actually buy another unit because my mosquito problem is so bad, and when it works it works great, but I still give it one star due to the hassle factor and unreliability. I am trying to contact the CEO of American Biophysics. I hate to see a great product (when it is running) ruined by unreliability and bad customer service.

Unreliable and bad service.
I bought this model new during the summer of 2002 and it worked great... that summer. Summer of 2003, the fan stopped working almost immediately after putting the unit back into use. I e-mailed the company several times before arrangments were made for a replacement power pack which arrived in late summer. Then the replacement unit failed to ignite. The unit I sent in ignited fine; it was only the fan that had failed. The replacement power pack however would not even ignite. After e-mails back and forth suggesting things for me to try; the snows came and I put it away for the winter with a long list of things to try sent to me by customer service after mosquito season had ended. Now this spring the same scenario is playing out. "Try this; try that". In the meantime with a wet spring my yard is filled with mosquitos and the Mosquito Magnet is a very expensive lawn ornament. It still will not ignite. The company rep seems unconcerned that it doe not work. There was no followup to my problem. Slow replies. Long waits on hold with the customer service telephone line. No or slow responses to e-mail. I wish I had the original unit that I had to send in; I probably could have changed the fan myself. I bought a Mosquito Deleto recently and it is catching mosquitos. They did not make money off me.
This Flowtron machine did not work for us. I do not profess to be an expert, but with West Nile in Illois like it is, I needed something that would give us the freedom to be outdoors. I could not get the thing going and then when it did I caught 6 bugs in a month and a half. I took it back to Costco and got my money back.
I went out and bought the Mosquito Magnet (for 2 times the money). What a difference. I had to empty the net every 3 weeks or so. It is still going! It did not get rid of ALL the Mosquitos, but it did give us the backyard back.

Power Trap doesn't work in Texas

No More Mosquitoes
I received my Power Trap about a month ago and it works great. It was easy to put together and I have had it running for a month with out any problems. I didn't buy the accessory kit to begin with but ended up wanting it and purchasing it. I'd recommend getting it from the start. I have seen the more expensive models but didn't want to spend the thousand dollars they are priced at. I knew if they worked that someone would come up with a reasonably priced version. This model really works I set it up in April thinking nothing would really happen because it was too early in the season but I check a couple of days later and there were quite a few dead bugs in the trap and I haven't seen any flying around in my back yard. It is now early May and I still don't have a bug problem in my back yard.

Worked 1st Time - EveryTime. - Now Killing 1000's per night
I've only used my Flowtron MT-150 Mosquito PowerTrap for a week and I have already killed about 5,000 mosquitos on our cottage lot in South-East Manitoba, Canada.

The PowerTrap worked 100% from the get-go. I also bought a 20lb propane tank and 3 ft BBQ replacement hose. No mechanical or electrical problems. Unit set at "Always On" all week but like the instruction book says the "3 hr & 2 hr" setting would likely do the job. Not many mosquitos caught during the day but once the sun does down - look out!

For the first 4 days I painfully counted the captured mosquitos myself. Days 5 and 6 are estimated counts. (Mosquitos in the collection tray were treated to a sniff of Raid just prior to dumping them on a piece of newspaper. They are much easier to count when dead.)

after a few months of sporadic use I get the famous three blinking lights. the fan starts and stops a few times then the blinking lights start. I mail orderedlast summer so I am SOL but registered here...just to say... that anyone reading this should avoid the flowtron mt-200 like it was a swarm of mosquitos. the performance here in seattle was poor. sirmrks KSCA

Wow where did the bugs go????
This is amazing I check the trap twice a day! The thing is capturing Mosquitos like there is no tomorrow! My kids can go out into the yard without having to put Off on and when we usually have to come in at dusk its not bad at all and we have a stream on our property. Thanks to the folks at Flowtron for letting me use my yard again!
