4-0 out of 5 stars When you want to go faster than having...
your child ride their own.

This works great for those times when you want to take a bike ride with your child and don't have to worry about "I'm Tired, etc", or want to go faster than a child could do on their own. I'm all for helping my child learn to ride her bike and she has two bikes of her own. But sometimes you just want to have a worry free ride. This works great. She still get to pedal and has her own handlebars. The saying "two is better than one", applies here.
A great product. Easy to assemble.

2-0 out of 5 stars Adult's seat twists when turning
As another reviewer described, the design of this product has a problem. On making turns, this bike often twists the adult's seat post, leaving the seat crooked. It's really a pain to stop riding and twist the seat back. I don't know how to fix this unit, or if it's possible to fix. We hardly ever use it because of this problem.

Great Purchase!
We recently bought this trailer for our daughter. We felt it was a good idea because we don't have sidewalks or bike trails to ride on and there are some pretty crazy drivers in our neighborhood. Our daughter can go out riding with us and we have the peace of mind that she won't swerve out in front of a car. She is also learning the feel of riding a two wheeler and gaining confidence. Prior to riding on the trailer, she was very attached to training wheels.

Balancing difficult
I bought this product and ended up returning it because it made balancing the bicycle almost impossible for more than a few yards. I tried it with, and without a passenger, and both ways it almost tipped the bicycle over once I got started. Neither of my children is the least bit interested in riding bicycles since I put them on this (4 years ago), and I think the way it almost dumped them over scared them away from bike riding. It was especially prone to tipping on corners, even though I took them wide so it wouldn't. I was very disappointed in this product.

3-0 out of 5 stars nice product, but not sure about one thing
My trailer bike came nicely packed and I had no problems assemblying it. However, when turning, my bike's seat post also turned no matter how hard I tightened it. I did loosen up one bolt on the trailer so that the trailer could pivot left and right. However, I'm not sure if this was right. It seems like the bolt was overtorqued at the factory.

So, is the trailer supposed to follow in a straight line, or is it supposed to pivot left and right like most trailers? The manaul did not address this issue.

Thanks! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars World's greatest lantern
I bought the Coleman battery lantern before we went on a camping trip with my 6 year old daughter and her Y-Princess tribe. I liked the idea of a battery-powered lantern, as opposed to a propane or liquid fuel lantern, around little kids.

It turns out that the Coleman battery lantern is the best lantern I've ever used. Most importantly, it throws a ton of bright white light - this is "hang the lantern on a tree branch and have enough light to pitch the tent, build the fire, cook dinner, etc" kind of light. In addition, the Coleman battery lantern lasts a lot longer than I expected on a set of batteries, turns right on, is easy to find in the dark (when you leave the night light feature on), is easy to carry... I could go on and on.

Sure, 8 D cell batteries are expensive, but that's the only down side I can see. The benefits mentioned above, plus the huge benefit of safety around the kids, more than makes up for the additional expense, at least in my book. ... Read more

This stainless-steel infuser is ideal for the tea drinker who loves to make one perfect cup at a time. With flanges that fit over any standard size mug or cup, the infuser stays put when hot water is added and holds loose tea leaves that won’t escape through the network of minute holes. The stainless-steel lid keeps heat in during brewing, and doubles as a drip-catching trivet under the infuser when done. Measuring 3-1/4 by 2-1/4 inches, with a flange span of 4 inches, the infuser can be washed either by hand or in the dishwasher.--Ann Bieri ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars good infuser
This is my first infuser. I was looking for one made of stainless steel, but not those ball-shaped ones.

It works pretty well. The tea I have has some small particles which gets through the mesh, but that's okay. Happens with tea bags, too.

I use the lid upside down while infusing (instead of sunken in like the picture), mostly so I can get it off quickly. Be careful, though; it's hot!

My infuser did not come with a brush, like the description states. However, cleanup is pretty easy. I can rinse off all the leaves if the leaves are still wet. I use a sponge if something looks stuck.

It sits pretty well over a standard mug and covers the whole opening while sitting in the mug. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

Nothing brews coffee or tea better than a French press, but it isn't the most convenient preparation technique, especially for ever-hurried commuters. That's why the Bodum stainless-steel travel press/tumbler is so ideal. Simply add hot water to your freshly ground coffee or whole tea leaves, and you're set. Plunge the press after another four minutes--a process you can employ on the bus, at a stoplight, or in the passenger seat--and you're ready to enjoy coffee or tea brewed in the finest manner. The coffee grounds or brewed tea leaves are safely pinned to the bottom of the mug, so you can slip open the cover to enjoy your beverage. The tumbler's vacuum-insulated, stainless-steel construction also gives it another advantage over traditional glass French presses, as it will preserve the temperature of the beverage for more than an hour. The tumbler includes a santoprene grip that encircles the exterior, letting you handle the press even when the water inside is piping hot, along with a spill-resistant lid. --Rivers Janssen ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Worked great...'til it broke
This press worked great, but only for about a month. After that the press disc would not stay attached to the end of the plunger when I was pressing...

1-0 out of 5 stars Good Concept.
I love coffee made with the French press method, so I thought this travel press would be great. It was for 3 days. The lid's threads were stripped in 3 days.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Tea
Similar to a French Press, you put some coffee or tea in the bottom of the mug, add water, screw the cap on, wait for your beverage to steep, and push the plunger down to trap the coffee grinds/tea at the bottom of the mug. It keeps beverages hot and fits in my car's cup holder. The bottom is padded with rubber to prevent sliding. Despite the price, it's definitely a mug I'd buy again. ... Read more

Never again subject guests to the back-breaking bar of the sofa bed--show them you care with the Aero Bed Deluxe Queen-Sized mattress. Easily inflated in about a minute (it plugs right into the wall), the Aero Bed Deluxe is stunningly comfortable. Your guests’ elbows will never sink to the wood floor when they get on the bed--the Aero Bed is firm when fully inflated, and firmness can be regulated by using the One Touch Comfort Control. And unlike other vinyl inflatable beds, the Aero Bed Deluxe features a 100% cotton lining on the top of the mattress. With 7-inch side gussets tall enough to fit standard queen-sized sheets, the mattress may fool guests into thinking you’ve pulled out the "real" bed. The Aero Bed Deluxe deflates as easily as it inflates and can be wrapped up and stored in its accompanying carry bag. --Rebecca A. Staffel ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars So far so good
I have been using my deluxe queen aero bed for the last 2 weeks straight while I help transition my baby into her own room & am thrilled with it. It is really comfortable & has held it's firmness incredibly well (I have only needed to give it one small burst of air in this time). Of course, I cannot comment on it's durability - but so far, I am really pleased with this product. Very, very comfortable & easy to use.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money Continual Leaks
What a waste of money! I returned the first aerobed because of continual holes and leaks popping up in the coil areas and it is and ongoing problem with this newer one. I called the aerobed help number and they told me that my 30 days were up and would not refund or at least exchange it for a "3rd" bed. Actually they were quick to note that this model number was no longer covered by warranty anyway. Hmmmm...how convienient for them. All my patches are gone and today I am headed to K-Mart or who knows where to hopefully find some more patches that will hopefully work. I'd rate it a 0 if I could!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is my REGULAR bed!!
I purchased this Aero bed 2 years ago to replace an old waterbed. I wanted one of those "Select Comfort" beds, but just couldn't afford their steep price! I saw an Aero bed television ad, which suggested you could use this as an everyday bed. I found my solution! I keep the Aero bed on the old platform the waterbed used to sit on. I can adjust the comfort level of the bed. I have to tell you, I actually look forward to getting into my cozy bed at night! I did enhance it by adding a mattress pad with extra fill, but I love this bed!!

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY IT
Our AeroBed double is less than 4 years old, was used about a dozen times, and always kept in its bag in the house, except when we went camping.

We tried to use it the other day and found that it was separating where the "coils" are attached to the front and back. We no sooner fixed one leak, with a special repair glue, than another one sprang up. The repairs held, but all the seams at the coils seem to be undoing, one after the other.

My girlfriend bought the twin less than a year ago. She used hers as a bed. Hers is doing the same thing. She tried twice to repair hers with the repair kit that comes with the bed, but to no avail.

Aero Bed told us that we MUST have had ours exposed to extreme temperatures. Well, we all live in mild coastal CA, so we don't get temperature extremes like other places do.

They offer a limited one year warranty - not much for an item that can cost up to about $300, depending on the size and style.

Yes, it was comfortable while it stayed inflated. It isn't very comfortable now. This is a poor quality air mattress.

We ended up sleeping on our Coleman queen inflatable. My girlfriend was stuck on her couch. Our Coleman is the same design, about the same age and seems to be just fine. ... Read more

The Wave is the flagship of the Leatherman line, and we would argue that it's the company's most versatile multitool to date. It comes loaded with 17 different tools, including everything from pliers to screwdrivers to wire cutters. We really like the Wave's quality construction, its four locking blades, and the fact that the user can get at the knife without having to open up the whole tool--a nice improvement over the original model. While nobody's going to replace a tool set or do major auto repairs with the Wave, it's absolutely invaluable for a wide range of quick, on-the-spot jobs. --Brian Trinen ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The classic just got better
I bought my original Leatherman tool 15 years ago, and it's served me well. Since then, as one of my quests in life is for the ultimate multitool, I've bought at least a couple of dozen other multitools by various makers, most of which I don't even use since I still prefer my trusty old Leatherman most of the time. But when I saw a good price on this one, I jumped at it. I figured what the hell, you can't have too many tools in your life that you don't use, so I bought it. But I'm happy to say this is probably my favorite multitool, as far as ease of use, versatility, and overal design and qualty of construction is concerned, such as the convenient one-handed opening on the blades. Since then Tim Leatherman has come out with the Leatherman Flair and the Crunch, or locking plier, but I think I prefer this one to those too. I also have his Supertool, which is great, although a little bit too big to carry all the time, but those big regular and serrated blades are pretty impressive. But I think the Wave edges out even the Supertool. So overall, a great tool and well worth the price.

4-0 out of 5 stars Useful Companion for Photographers
As a photographer, I wanted a smallish multi-tool to carry in my camera bag that would help me out with those little equipment failures and creative gerry-rigging in the field. I looked at Swiss Army, Spyderco, Gerber, and Leatherman multi-tools before choosing the Wave. I chose it because it has the largest number of tools that would be useful to me. And I've been happy with my choice.

The Wave has four tools that you can access without opening the entire tool. These four tools lock, as well: a serrated blade, a file, a straight blade, and a saw. These blades are about 2 3/4 inches long and are easy to pull out.

These additional tools can be accessed only when the Wave is open: a bottle opener, a phillips screwdriver, four sizes of flat screwdrivers, a lanyard hole, and scissors. These tools can be difficult to pull out. I frequently have to pull out a bunch of them and stuff the ones I don't want back in. The scissors will cut paper and cardboard easily, if slowly. These tools don't lock, but they stay in place pretty well.

The pliers open 1 1/2 inches wide. The wire cutter works decently. I've used sharper, but these cut wire in a few tries if not on the first try.

The Leatherman Wave is 6 1/4 inches long when open and 4 inches long when closed. It is reasonably comfortable to use although I think my hands would ache if I had to use it for a long time.

All in all, the Wave is compact, useful and an excellent addition to the gadget bag of any photographer. If you need a really sharp knife, I have a Spyderco that is much sharper. For heavy duty work that requires a lot of torque, you'll need real screwdrivers. Jacks-of-all-trades are masters of none, as they say. But for light work and emergencies in the field, the Wave fills the bill quite nicely. If you have equipment that requires an allen wrench or hex tips, consider getting the Tool Adapter for the Wave also.

2-0 out of 5 stars A Tool Only for Die Hard McGyver Fans
This 1000+ tool doesn't really do much because it weighs 10 lbs and is rather awkward, most of the tools are difficult to pull out and you need instructions because they are so compact and held together by a balstan ring which makes it hard to turn at angles. I took this with me to the mountain ranges of Oslo and threw it away because it was so terrible to carry around.

5-0 out of 5 stars Whatta Tool!!
I like tools! My problem is- usually they are where I am not! However- The 'Wave'- Hanging on my belt at all times- it is there and- it is indispensible! Just worked my cabin over in Alaska- used that little tool constantly- Even cut out the 'Moon' on my Outhouse door-with it! If you need one tool-to pack-and of the highest quality and versatility- The Leatherman Wave is it!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Hard Worker
I just recived the Leatherman wave in the mail today and I decided to mow the lawn and there were some trees in the way of the mower so I decided to test out the new knife. I was cutting through 1 1/4 in wood and it was like a hot knife cutting through butter! That pice of wood was gone in 10 seconds! It is the best saw blade I have ever had. Also the knives are very sharp when you first get the knife which is very impressive. I would recomend this knife to any one! And with this price why wait? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars First one to work right for me!
I am 48 and have a bad back. My daughter lives in another state so she can not help me. My husband had a stroke in `89 & is paralyzed on one side...so he can not help me. Ok, I can not use the air pumps at stations as they are very heavy, to heavy for me and I can not lean over for long that far. I have tried cheap air pumps, they don't work for me. I even bought one for $79 and it is good but you have to hold it on the tire air stem and when I tried it, I lost ALL the air in my tire. lol I could not keep a good seal.
(and that one took me over 10 min's and over 20 min's for my daughter to refill the tire....she was home for the weekend.)
I need to be able to do this myself , no problems, when I need it.
I tried this today (got it yesterday) and it worked GREAT!!!)
First, the hose you use to attach to the tire stem is just the right size and screws on for a GREAT fit and seal!
Next, it sits on the ground, a must for me, I can not lean over any longer then it takes to attach it.
It also has a gage on it that helps. When it says 40, my tire pressure is about 33 (it needs to be 30) so I need to learn what is what, it goes 20-40 and when putting the air in..turn it off and it goes to right mark, it reads a tad high.
But easy to learn what the right mark is from using it. Everything but the big hose you use for air matterss, etc. is stored inside and attached. I love it.
Also, I have a ford taurus wagon and the air stem angles a bit to the side, even my daughter had problems (no problems with her Aztec as the stem is straight out) but with this hose, doesn't matter what the angle of the stem is, it works fine and is VERY easy to attach and use.
If you have any problems, as I have, this works great and worth every penney. Oh, it took me under 12 min's to do 2 tires! (including attaching and unattaching each tire.)
I hope this helps some.
KattB

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great!!!
Do not waste your time or money buying less expensive ones. It works as advertised. Inflate a completely flat car tire in about 3-4 minutes or much less time if you just need to add air periodically. No need to jack up the car. The connector for the car tires is the best I've ever seen. It screws directly to the stem with absolutely no air loss. Unlike the cheap clip-on ones that the other companies use. Coleman has always made high quality products and this is no exception. Much better than the previous 3 pumps that I bought and threw away, totally useless.

3-0 out of 5 stars Badly damaged once again.
I previously ordered two of these units and wrote a review. Both were badly damaged, but one was salvagable. The other I had to return, after it overheated and emitted a noxious odor. I decided to take a chance and order another unit this month (goal was to have total of two working units), hoping that whatever warehouse or shipping issues that resulted in previous damage had been resolved. They weren't. This unit also came with crushed top and wheels. Until the manufacturer comes up with a better way to ship these heavy beasts, not worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good all-in-one package
The Xpower 1500 is a good backup system as it has eveything you need in a convenient handtruck (the batteries are heavy).
Unfortunately the 61 Amphr batteries don't last that long. Adding a 100Ahr battery which you can easily be connected to the xPower make for a nice system which will get you thru a few days of blackout.

4-0 out of 5 stars I HAVE TWO OF THESE
I HAVE TWO XPOWER 1500 UNITS . THEY WORK AS ADVERTISED, EACH UNIT WILL RUN A REFRIGERATOR FOR OVER TWO HOURS DURING A POWER OUTAGE. THEY WILL START A SKILLSAW WHEN FULLY CHARGED.
THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE HAD, ONE OF THE CHARGERS WILL NOT CUT OFF AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE BATTERY IS FULLY CHARGED.
A QUALITY PRODUCT, BUT NEEDS TO HAVE MORE RESERVE (BATTERY AMPS) FOR LONGER SERVICE. GREAT IDEA.

1-0 out of 5 stars doesn't run
bought one for the boat, didn't run, wouldn't charge. Fluke?
exchanged for a new one. Followed directions still no charge after 24hours plugged into household power.
Not worth time or effort it would appear.

5-0 out of 5 stars Living Off The Power Grid - The True Test
Our ranch is outside of utility power service, and we rely upon a generator for our power. The Xantrex xPower 1500 was appealing to us for the purpose of running small electrical units, TV, VCR, lamp, computer, without having to start up and listen to a 10K generator. An added advantage is being able to take power where you need it on our acerage. The portable dolly design allows the power unit to go where you want the power, for power tools, weedeaters, etc.

The system works wonderfully for our purpose. Now we can enjoy a few quiet evening hours without having to forego light and entertainment. Plugged into a standard wall outlet, the x1500 battery easily charges up during the generator-run hours. We are very pleased.

We experienced one glitch, which turned out okay. The original unit we received had battery acid spilled inside of the box. Xantrex technical support was very clear that this was not right, and the unit could not be used and needed to be replaced. Their warranty department took care of everything, and delivered an entire new system within two weeks. It did take more than one call to get a solid answer on this solution, but it worked out satisfactorily. ... Read more

Fun if you get newer version
This is great fun, but you have to get the newer version to enjoy it. Our 8 yr old son got this for Christmas and we put it together (15 steps, bunch of tubes to assemble, takes a half hour or so). The plastic sensor matt ripped within an hour or so. The real problem was that you had to throw really hard to get it to sense a pitch and that was bound to cause a tear soon enough. Bummer. We were outside on a cold day, which tends to make plastic more brittle, so it might be best to keep the matt warm to make it last longer.

The good news is that we exhanged the torn one at Toys R Us and lucked into a newer version which is much improved. There is a canvas matt behind the sensor matt, with the sensor matt attaching with velcro. This newer design is more sensitive and thus kids can throw with full force and enjoy the game and not rip the heck out of it. And it seems to be pretty safe for indoor play, which is a plus for rainy days.

Incredible Waste
This is an incredible waste of money. (...). My six year old son, an extreme baseball fanatic, was so thrilled to get this we couldn't wait to try it out. It took too much time to assemble, flimsy pieces, didn't register right and needless to say, was broken within the hour after opening it. My son was let down and I too was disappointed to see him sad and my wallet lighter. Don't waste your hard earned money!

Yes, it was educational
I came online to read the reviews in order to determine whether I should return this misfit, or replace it, because ours also broke within minutes and does not register as it should. My 3 and 7 year old kids were standing one foot away and hitting the mat with the enclosed balls, and nothing was happening. My husband experimented to see just how hard he had to hit it to get it to register, and it ripped. I rated the educational value of it very high because it served as a great example of why you must be very discriminating when purchasing products. As my daughter pointed out, "Why would somone make something for kids that would be so DISAPPOINTING!!!" Shame on you Arcade Alley, and shame on you Amazon/Toys 'r Us for continuing to offer it.

All Arcade Alley/ Moose Mountain toys:
Please do yourself a favor and don't buy any Arcade Alley or Moose Mountain toys! If you look at the reviews for their other games as well as this one (including Arcade Alley Hoop to Hoop which I bought) you will notice one thing in common: all of their products are either immediately defective or break within several hours of putting them together. I can't believe that Amazon is still selling these products! Save youself money and headaches...don't buy their products!!!!

A fun game that needs to be built better
My nine year old son got this for Christmas and was very excited. It took a while for his Dad to set it up but no big deal. The big disappointment was, the backstop ripped after only a few throws by our nine year old son. The game is very fun and they continue to play it, but since it has already ripped, I don't see it holding up very long. Plus, the sounds don't work everytime, even when my husband hits it with a ball. This is a very good and fun idea but they need to come up with a better way to build it. ... Read more

Amazon.com Review

The professional single burner range from BroilKing is a solid solution for light-duty cooking anywhere that a kitchen is not an option. It offers simple operation and easy portability in its compact, 1100-watt frame. Made with chrome metal housing and outfitted with a heavy-duty 3-prong cord, the burner heats up quickly and is controlled with a smooth-turning front dial. Most effective with pots that match the size of the 5-1/2-inch tubular element, the range is not ideal for rigorous catering duties, giant kettles, or huge skillets. But for the everyday needs of a pot of soup or a grilled cheese sandwich, it does the job just fine. BroilKing includes a helpful safety power light and an adjustable leg for stability. The range is UL listed and backed by a two-year warranty. --Emily Bedard ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sleep in comfort
I have been sleeping in hammocks for five years now. I have had problems sleeping in beds for years. Because of my wide shoulders I cannot sleep on my side without "throwing my back out". I had purchased a bed that cost a couple of thousand dollars and when that did not take care of the problem, I did some thinking about how people have slept over the course of human history.

It occured to me that peoples who slept in hammocks seemed to stay with them longer then societies that slept on mats or beds of various kinds. I also found that hammocks seem to have evolved in all of the warm climate areas and since we no longer sleep out doors (not here in Maine anyway), I thought it made some sense to give it a try.

I have been sleeping very comfortably in a "Mayan" style hammock for these five years and needed to replace mine. I bought the "Taino" and found it to be more comfortable to sleep in than the "Mayan" style. It does not sag in the center as much, so that my arms are not pressed up against me, that might be something you would enjoy, but not I. Over time the smaller threads of the "Mayan" style get snagged and broken and repairs can be a little difficult when more then one are broken. Because of my three dogs, I need a hammock that can withstand some abuse (Yes, one of them has learned to sleep in the hammock with me) and the thicker cord is a positive in that respect.

My wife asked me to buy her a new "Taino" hammock to replace hers, so I ordered another one today.

If you are looking for a great nights sleep, this is the hammock I would recommend.

Peace,
James

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth it!
It was more than I expected. It was easy to hang, looks good, and most of all it is as comfortable as advertised. Too bad I don't have more places to hang more hammocks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better Than a Bed
Proof positive that you don't have to hanging under a palm tree on a white sandy beach to fully appreciate the hammock experience! These hammocks are perhaps the most blissful place one can rest, and it really doesn't matter whether they are hung between support walls in your living room or strung between two trees in the backyard. I have spent countless hours perfecting my hammock posture and in the course of this perfection have test-driven a whole bunch of hammocks. I can, with absolute certainty, tell you that this hammock is the stuff dreams are made of. It is constructed of a durable and soft cotton that breathes with you and doesn't cause itchiness or that unpleasant "Plastic" feeling. When it is strung up right, you can either lay horizontally or vertically - it matters not because it's amazingly comfortable either way. Some of my most peaceful sleep and dreamiest dreams have come from hammock-induced slumber. I strongly recommend it for any and everyone considering their sleeping alternatives. The hammock isn't banished to the tropics anymore, and in fact looks just great in my Kansas living room. Trust me - get a little tired and get a big ole hammock! This one in partiucular will make your socks roll up and down! ... Read more
