LOOKS AS IF IT WAS PURCHASED AT A FINE OUTDOOR SHOP
I purchased this fireplace and find it to be VERY beautiful and well made. It certainly looks as if it was purchased in some expensive outdoor boutique and looks as if it costs a LOT more than what the actual price was. As far as the patina goes, everyone knows that copper changes with weather, time and other elements and I feel it only enhances the beauty of the whole piece. I am very pleased with this and it is holding up just fine.

Let's hope you get all the pieces...
We bought this in-store, and waited awhile to put together (mistake #1). We found out, when most of it was already assembled, that the back mesh panel was warped, which affected the placement of the lid and also allows a gap. Upon further examination of the box, we discovered that there was no manufacturer listed, nor was there anything but assembly instructions in the box. We called several Target stores, but of course nobody could tell us the manufacturer since they have sold out of the item. FInally, we got an 800 nubmer from Target, who was able to give us the maker's contact info, but the maker told us that they don't have any parts, to see if the store has any more fireplaces. So, we are out of luck. And too tired to disassemble the thing. We'll probably patch it somehow. Overall, its attractive, although cheaply made. It was probably made by children in India, which is why the manufacturer's name is nowhere on it! :)

So - So Product
There is no doubt that my wife and I liked the look of this product, and the price certainly is better than many of the competative products we looked at. There are two things to note that we weren't as pleased with. 1) This may be obvious, but don't expect the copper luster on the top of this unit to remain... even with good care. Burning a fire in this unit will obviously change the look of the product, and some may not find this appealling. The larger the fires and more frequent you burn them, the quicker the product will dull and change look. We tried copper polish on it, but it didn't restore the shine. Just be aware of this. 2)The product, although good for the price, still falls under the 'you get what you pay for' tag. I had mine for about 3 months when a hinge on the product came apart at the weld. From the look of the weld, it doesn't look like the quality of the workmanship is too good. I noticed a lot of bubbles in the metal that was supposed to hold it together - a sign of cheaper manufacturing. All together - I'd say the product is ok.
