Good grill, but a few problems
I bought this grill about 6 weeks ago at a local home improvement store. My grill is the all-stainless steel model, although it has the exact same model number - 463243904.

I really liked this grill at first, but found that it is not designed to be left outdoors. The instructions say you can't use it indoors either. After the first rainstorm, the fancy battery operated electronic ignition quit working. I opened the apparently weatherproof battery compartment and found it was full of water. I let it dry out for a week, retightened and rechecked everything, but had the same problem after the next rainstorm.

I called CharBroil and they told me, "Oh.... You can't expect your grill to work if you leave it outside in the rain!" Glad I bought an all-stainless steel grill! By the way, a lot of the rivets and screws holding the grill together are rusting - after only 6 weeks of use.

Instead of the older style gas burner under briquettes, this grill has the burner directly under the cooking surface. It requires less preheating, but I think I liked cooking over briquettes better. This grill uses a drip pan that drains into a grease cup. The grease cup fills up with water when it rains. The drip pan must be cleaned a lot more often than I would like. My old grill didn't use a drip pan. All the grease just burned off and added to the char broiled flavor.

I would probably not buy this grill again. I looked at a lot of grills before I made my purchase. I really didn't like the apparent durability of any of them. The grill I bought did not live up to my expectations. I figure that if I am going to be dissatisfied, I can be dissatisfied for a lot less money! ... Read more

Great Outdoor Wok

Well Made (but provided with the WSM cooker)
I thought when I ordered my WSM cooker that I needed to buy this extra.When my WSM came lo and behold it was in the box (so now I have two covers).It is well made and attractive.I put a 32 gallon garbage bag over the WSM first and then slide the fitted cover over it.I do this because putting the cover over the WSM without the bag is like putting a size 6 girdle on a size 19 woman.The garbage bag helps it slide on better.and gives your cooker additional protection from water entry through the stitching of the cover.In Florida I also put another 32 gallon garbage bag over the cover to provide even more protection from the elements.[The cover is too pretty have the sun bake to death].

Too much trouble
I guess I shouldn't complain about something that I got as a throw-in, but this thing is just too much trouble for me.It is a fairly tight fit to begin with, then they have some kind of elastic around the bottom (to hold it snug, I guess).It's like putting a tight dress on a manequin, pulling, tugging, straightening.I never did get it all the way on, I'll just use it to store spare grill parts or something.

It probably looks good once you get it on, but according to some posts at the weber smokey mountain website, it's not even water tight.If anybody really wants one of these things just for show, I'll give you mine for half price. ... Read more

The best BBQ tools I have seen
I have used many different kinds of BBQ tools in my quest to find the perfect ones. I think my journey has ended. These OXO tools are the perfect combination of ease of use and sturdy construction. When you first use them, you get the sense you will have them forever.

I have now used then for about a month. If anyone wants my old collection of tools let me know. These are all I need.

OXO - Way to GO!
The OXO line of cooking supplies is always a sure bet. If you want to look stylin' while you are out BBQ'in, this is a utensil set that won't let you down. The stainless steel was strong, and sturdy - it cut right through a whole chicken and held it sturdy so I could transfer it from the BBQ to the plate. Great set, I highly reccommend!
