Very easy to remove old igniter and install this one on my Weber Spirit 500 grill. Took about 5 minutes and started up on the first push of the button. No more trying to light a match and stick it through the hole on a windy/cold day. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars If you have Asian Tiger Mosquitos
Don't use the Octenol cartridge for Asian Tiger Mosquitos because it repels rather than attracts them. Read and follow the placement directions.

After getting 6-15 bites by those nasty critters everytime I went into the garden and being held prisoner indoors for a few months, I decided to spend the bucks on the Defender. My husband was skeptical, but I was desperate.
Initially, it wasn't properly placed and I thought that I had made an expensive mistake. After we read the placement directions, viewed the CD and moved it to the recommended area of our yard, the Tiger mosquitos flocked to the Defender to dehydrate and die. We have won the battle with the Asian Tigers and now are using the Octenol cartridges to catch the everyday garden variety mosquitos.

We started using the Mosquito Magnet on July 1 and are very happy with the results. We still have some mosquitos and I get bitten every now and then, but I don't have to coat myself with OFF and I can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the garden.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great for me!
I read these reviews before I bought a Mosquito Magnet Defender, and, though there seemed to be some disagreement as to whether this machine actually works, I found that Consumer Reports liked it, so I decided to shell out the money to buy one.
I just set up the machine in my backyard on July 3 after reviewing the placement assistant on the included instruction c/d. It was very easy to set up (once I had the propane tank, it took about half an hour including 20 minutes warm-up time). Mosquitoes started swarming around the machine after it had been running for an hour. In three days I've emptied the trap twice. I counted over 100 mosquitoes each time (a tip: open the trap in a plastic bag to prevent the live mosquitoes from flying out). I'm sure I that's a fraction of the probably three trillion mosquitoes living on my half-acre lot, but - hey - it's a dent.
I could actually go out on the deck today (in the rain) and not get bitten. I'm looking forward to see how it works over the next month (how long the manufacturer claims it takes to break the mosquito breeding cycle).
At this point, I'm very happy with my Mosquito Magnet Defender.

5-0 out of 5 stars I Love This Thing!
The Mosquito Magnet is destined to be one of those indispensible items to have in-and-around anyone's home. This thing is terrific. Before I got my computer, DVD, and cell phone, I couldn't imagine life with them, now I cannot imagine life without them. So it is with the Mosquito Magnet.

I live in Maine, Mosquito and Black Fly Central. The bugs here are the size of small housecats, and are happy to hold you hostage until you pay a handsome ransom... of your blood. I researched bug-catching devices and bug killers galore, in Consumer Reports, all over the internet, everywhere. The Mosquito Magnet was hands-down the most-recommended item around. Amazon clearly offered the best deal. Free Shipping, $50 off my next purchase, and a free box of octenol cartridges. OK, I was sold.

The assembly was a breeze. Turned on the propane tank, plugged the thing in, and wahoo! I have had it for just three weeks, and upon emptying the bug box for the first time, it was absolutely packed with a solid brick of dead mosquitoes and blackflies! Ewww! Thousands and thousands of them! Unbelievable! Damnedest thing I ever saw! And everyone of those little buggers I "offed" was one less to bite me in the @ss. And more importantly, one less to survive thereafter, laying eggs and spawning the next generation of little fiends.

I have already noticed a dramatic decrease in ANYTHING buzzing about me while noodling around the garden and grill. This little darlin' works slick as snot on a doorknob! And my home is on a lake in the woods of Maine, with lots of fresh water and foliage everywhere for the little buggers to live in. Not anymore, thanks to the Mosquito Magnet. I was a skeptic at first (my wife, too, thought the money would've been better spent paying a high school kid 10 cents apiece to swat them one at a time!), but now having lived with it, I'm so thrilled that I'm telling EVERYONE about it!

A caution: When they say "Change the tank every 21 days", they mean it. I tried to weasel a few extra days out of the Rhino tank, and at the end of day 22, the propane tank was spent. Make sure you have a spare handy, so you can make a smooth transition. I've read about other folks' problems with gas flow and starting problems. No such problems here. It has worked perfectly in every regard.

The other deal is, I see no reason why you'd need the bigger, and much more expensive models. My property is about 5 acres of woods, but the little Defender is true to its name! Does a terrific job, and even the specs on the larger models fail to provide convincing data on why or how they should be superior.

You, too, will love this thing. It's crazy to spend umpteen thousands on a home, and then be held hostage by bugs such that you cannot enjoy it. The Defender is the best $300 you'll ever spend for your yard.

4-0 out of 5 stars So far, great!
I live next to conservation land, and my Mosquito Magnet has caught 1/2 of it's basket full of mosquitos in less that one 21 day cycle. Mosquitos hover around it all the time.

The only downside is that it was hard to get running the first time. It may require level ground (my first try was at a slight slant), and I had problems with getting it to feed from my propane tank.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't bother in Maryland
Used one of these for 6 weeks on the Eastern Shore of MD and didn't catch 6 mosquitos in that time. They don't tell you until you open the box that you shouldn't use the octenol if you have Asian Tiger mosquitos which is what we mainly have.

Out the price of 2 tanks of propane and a third spare tank I had purchased, but I returned the "magnet" to Hom. Depo. for a refund.

They shouldn't sell these things in states that they don't work in. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Clever, lightweight, and every neighbor wants one!
The kangaroo container is the best weed bucket I've ever used. The fact that I can hang it on a wall when not in use makes it better than any other plastic bucket I've carried around the yard. I've also lined it and used it for a trash can at beach picnics. You can even stake it down on windy days! A wonderful all purpose garden carry-all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fiskars Kangaroo Container Holds All My Yard Debris!E
Do you sit & pull weeds, having to bend over again to pick up all the 'piles?' Do you awkwardly drag trash bags around the yard when trimming, while branch & twig ends punch thru the bag, then have to call for an extra hand to hold it open while you fill it? My Kangaroo eliminates all of that, & holds more than you can imagine! As light as it is to pull, it's a heavy-grade vinyl that takes all my rough twigs & broken branches for without any punctures or scrapes; nothing sticks to it, so a rare squirt with the hose makes it look like new. The best part comes when I empty it (placing a leaf bag over, then flipping it), then easily squishing it into a few-inch package, using the strong buttons & loops attached, & placing it on a little hook on my pegboard; it takes up virtually no space. in my small townhome. I trim more often, just so I can USE IT!

5-0 out of 5 stars Are there TWO different versions of this item?
I recently purchased a Fiskars 94056974 30 gallon Kangaroo Container and the thing is built like a tank. My impression on how the item is supposed to be used is to open the Kangaroo, put a 30 gallon trash can liner in the Kangaroo and fill with leaves and your five year old son. Then, either make one big pile for you and your son to play in or pull the trash can liners out, tie shut (remove son first) and carry it down to the end of the drive way, so the trash guys can play in the leaves.

The item is NOT meant to be dragged across shopping center parking lots. Mine holds a full load of squished down leaves without tearing or ripping. By the way, the product is covered by a two year warranty. I didn't read about any one posting a poor review who attempted getting them resolved utilizing the warranty.

Anyway, the Fiskars 94056974 Kangaroo Container (30 Gallon) works great (like having a third hand). It is versatile as previous reviews have pointed out. An extra trash can utilizing a liner. How about using one for recycling cans? Place a 30 gallon trash liner in the Kangaroo, squish can, "he shoots he scores!!!"

I'm happy with this purchase. It's durable, engineered well, and I'm planning on buying more of both the 10 and 30 gallon models. I expect this to eventually wear out. But, it's been my experience with other Fiskar items that you get your money's worth if you use the item as it was intended.

1-0 out of 5 stars poor quality
The handle tore out of the bag the first time I used it. A very good idea, but VERY poor quality. The fabric is just not strong enough. If you buy this, DON'T use the handles, or better yet, save your money.

2-0 out of 5 stars no precautions about its fragility
Although it is a wonderfully handy tool, the dumping handle tore the fifth time I used it. A note in the instructions about the maximum weight it is designed to hold would have been useful. ... Read more

Hang on to Toto when you fire this baby up--the air blast out ofthis blower is phenomenal! The literature says it produces up to a 215mph current, and they're not kidding. It converts in a few seconds to avacuum by removing the inlet tube and cover; just hook the front of thevacuum tube on and snap. Attach the generous bag and you're ready topick up the mountain of leaves you've blown. As it vacuums, the fanimpeller will mulch the leaves down, too, reducing 10 bags to 1. Welike the ergonomic handle and the comfortable strap. The tubes aresturdy and won't crack if you accidentally whack them. It's a lightunit at 7.3 pounds, and it's not nearly as loud as most, though at 69decibels, you'll still want to wear ear protection. Bravo, Toro!--Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great for the price
I have been using this blower vac for a few months now and am really shocked by how well it works. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the blower changes very easily into a vacuum and vice versa. I use it to blow leaves into a pile then suck them up to use on my garden as mulch, bye bye leaves and bye bye weeds in my garden. The job of raking and sweeping leaves that used to take me hours, now only takes minutes. I can blow down my patio, suck up all the leaves and have the place looking great ten minutes before guests arrive. If you are like me and have a great backyard that you entertain in then pick this baby up and cut your work time by 50%!

Get yourself a long extension cord with this purchase also. The noise and pollution of this blower/vac is virtually non existent. I was shocked by how low the noise level was. I use the low setting for around other garden plants and when i really need the power switch it to high. Like another reviewer i had a small delay in shipping but it was worth the wait!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value for a very useful tool in a small yard
I wish I'd bought this Toro several months ago. We have a small yard in San Diego. Our next door neighbor has a huge ficus tree that sheds a lot of leaves in our yard. We already have 20 or so bags of debris stacked on the side of the house. I tried this blower out for the first time yesterday. In low power mode, it was able to push the leaves out of a cedar-chipped area without distuburbing the cedar chips too much. It's noisy, but not so noisy that you need ear protection. The vacuum mulcher seems to work well so far. Low power suction doesn't pull in too much, but high power works well. For a really large amount of leaves, it would probably be easier to rake, but for our small California yard it's perfect. I was concerned about the plastic impeller being able to handle all pea-sized seeds among the leaves, but so far so good. I'm not sure if the compression is really 10-to-1, but it definitely makes a difference. I haven't tried it with wet leaves, but in San Diego the leaves aren't wet very often so that's not a concern. The unit was easy to set up out of the box, and easy to switch back and forth between modes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value. Awesome blower
THe blower is awesome, and not terribly loud.

The vac isnt good for vacuuming your van's carpet, but for clearing grass clippings off of your driveway, it is beautiful.

For the price this simply cannot be beaten.

4-0 out of 5 stars Impeller info # 100-9068
Hey, all you whiny people who say they've looked all over heck and back for a new impeller. It's identified on the Toro site as # 100-9068 and my local hardware store charged $7 plus shipping, so I bought two. Yes, they do break easily, but I don't think I'll try sucking any more rocks...

5-0 out of 5 stars The best blower in the market!!!
I love it because its 1) Easy to start 2) has superb power 3) runs smoothly...I am on the fairly small side and find its perfect for me over those big ol' gas blowers I simply can't handle much less start up. My husband loves it because, even though he is a big guy, it makes small work out of our large orchard of walnut leaves!!!! In fact, watching him go into the garage, I find he picks up that little blower of mine with all the power over his big monster gas blower...when asked, he declares, its simple...more air and less work!! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Electronic water timers
The Gilmour 9100 model is simple and reliable. I have used other timers with liquid crystal readouts from Gilmour and others and find that the displays generally die or partially die after about one year. The 9100 however seems to remain dry and working for much longer, (2 years and counting). I understand that it has only 1 cycle per day but for my needs this has proven adequate.

4-0 out of 5 stars Simple and reliable
My comments will mirror most of those already on here. I'd had horrible luck in a previous year with a Nelson brand timer - four C batteries would last barely two weeks, and worse, would fail with the valve open! Last year I bought one of these Gilmour timers, and it's like night and day. I'm still on the original batteries, it's reliable, and once you get the hang of it, easy to program. While the programming interface is very simplistic, it might not be for everyone (_because_ it's so simplistic, it could be confusing). There's a fairly significant water hammer when it shuts off, and I worry a bit about these old pipes, but they're due for replacement soon anyway, so I won't worry too much. At any rate, I like this timer so much after a year on a couple of flower beds that I'm buying two more today to work the lawn too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Still going after 2 years
I then got the Gilmour 9100 and have been surprised at how robust and reliable it has been since day one. Once you get the hang of it, programming is fast and, although only through beeps, actually very informative as to the schedule. You can turn it on temporarily without sacrificing the program and even have a timed session right then and there. I've also been amazed at this unit working everyday through pouring rain and baking sun for almost two years yet still using only its original batteries. I highly recommend it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Watch out for the "Water Hammer"
Used this product last summer. It is easy to operate and works as advertised. However, the rubber diaphragm, which controls the water flow goes from totally closed to totally open in an instant, which creates, at least in my plumbing, a banging water hammer effect on my basement pipes.

I'm going back to the Melnor product this year. It's turning mechancal valve allows for a gradual transition from on to off
which eliminated the pounding on the pipes.

I have used it two summers and it does the job. i have used other models by other companys and most of them have developed leaks sooner or later..So far so good with this one. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Sprinkler I Have Ever Owned
An excited next door neighbor told me of a local store that was selling this Gardena sprinkler. He also told me that "this is the best sprinkler I have ever Owned". I ran out and bought one immediately because I use several sprinklers, which are connected to the water discharge hose of my geo-thermal heat pump/air conditioner 24 hours each day. That was over a year ago. I am now placing an order for the second Gardena sprinkler because it "IS" the best sprinkler "I" have ever owned!

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
I don't do a lot of overhead watering. The various beds around my yard all have soaker hoses or drip irrigation. That leaves the lawn.

My lot is an odd-sized lot to begin with, and after you toss in the house, the driveway, paths, patios, trees and beds, what's left is very oddly shapped. I thought about installing an underground system with many little heads all designed to fit in the little nooks and cranies, but I really don't water the lawn often enough to make it worth it.

On the other hand, I've gone through a lot of different sprinklers. I've had the cheap "dial-a-pattern" type. I've had the red square thing. I've had the rotating spray type. And I've had more than one oscillating sprinkler. The oscillators tended to breakdown the fastest, and that's why I was hessitating spending so much money on another one.

But this one is different. The design and constrution are such that I don't anticipate it locking-up as the typical oscillating sprinkler does. It also has more controls than you can imagine. You can adjust the width, height, and angle. And you can turn-off the water before it rains down on you! All your adjustments can be made at the sprikler without having to adjust the flow at the faucet.

The biggest obstical Gardena must be facing is convincing people to spend so much on a oscillating sprinkler. But I have to say that while I had my doubts, I think it's a great investment.

5-0 out of 5 stars A high quality sprinkler
This sprinkler covers a fairly large area, is easily adjusted for width and range, and is well built. I've used one for a few seasons, and am ordering another. It does not leak, and has never clogged. It also has a very stable sled base.

It's especially useful for watering long, narrow side lots, or a row of planting beds. It's about two or three times the price of most oscillating sprinklers you'll find at the home center, but you get what you pay for. Gardena makes very high quality sprinklers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great charger but less stellar accessories
The charger itself is a great piece of technology allowing charging, discharging, testing and refreshing NiMH & NiCd batteries on four individual channels. As other reviews indicated, parameters can be set independently on each channel and you have knowledge of what's going on.You can make sure the batteries are performing as they should and mix & match batteries of similar capacity for top performance in each application.

Included are 4-C & 4-D adapters, however you cannot use both sizes at the same time.To use as D-size cells, you first insert AA's in the C adapters and then slide the assembly in the D adapters.I was hoping to find 8 useable adapters in the package, keep in mind you only get 4.The D adapters feel flimsy and I don't know how long they will properly snap together before breaking.

Also worth mentioning, the included AA batteries, after three refresh cycles, show capacities of 1450 / 1750 / 1800 / 2000, I find the top three to be adequate for a rating of 2000 mAh but one is clearly on the low side.Haven't tested the AAA's yet as I don't really need them.

I find this charger to fit my needs very well as an all-around household AA charger.I would buy again for sure.

1-0 out of 5 stars DOA
DOA = Dead On Arrival: powers up but won't change mode or display or charge rate. Whether that's bad luck or bad quality control I can't know for sure, but the item probably wasn't given so much as a cursory function test by its Chinese manufacturer. La Crosse Technologies suggested I ship the dud to them (at my expense) for evaluation and repair. That's unacceptable customer service for any new device, and it is NOT what I paid for. Good service (the kind that keeps old customers and earns new ones) is promptly shipping the customer a new TESTED replacement and a paid return carton for the dud. La Crosse evidently doesn't operate this way, so back to Amazon it goes for a refund, and La Crosse finds itself on my short list of least-preferred vendors.

Because this device is evidently not even tested for function before it is sold, one might reasonably question its accuracy. The best a typical user of a working BC-900 can probably do is run a single cell through each of the four sections and see how well (or poorly) the readings match, thus arriving at some idea of its consistency. I test cells with a very cheap (except for the meter) simple assembly of two diodes, a resistor, an averaging multimeter (Fluke 87 type III) and a clock, and the results are traceably accurate to < 1%.

Not obvious from this product's advertising:
The power supply's plastic casing is welded, not screwed together. Replacement of a damaged cord will therefore be needlessly difficult or impossible. The switching power supply design (a type used also by Duracell) makes for a lighter and smaller 12-watt "wall wart", but for an item this expensive WHY would the manufacturer choose 3VDC as the "wart's" output rather than the common and car-friendly 12VDC used by quality brands like DynaCharge (Duracell) and UniRoss and Maha? That weird 3V design means mobile users will need an expensive bulky power inverter or special voltage-regulating adapter to run this charger from a car's lighter socket.

ps: Amazon refunded the price including shipping, and arranged free return pickup and shipping through UPS. That's the kind of service that will keep customers for years.

5-0 out of 5 stars a great battery charger!
The La Crosse BC-900 is an intelligent battery charger for 1 to 4 AA or AAA batteries at a time. Each channel is independant of the others, and you can mix battery sizes and functions in each channel independantly.
The charger has 4 modes. Charging mode is the default, but it also has a discharge mode, test mode (discharges, then charges back up again, and shows capacity of the battery), or refresh mode (repeats the test mode up to 20 times, until it doesnt see an improvement in the test result).
Each charging channel has an LCD readout that can show the charging current, the voltage of the cell, the capacity of the cell (in ma if under 2.0 amps, or in amps if it is a 2000ma cell or higher) in test or recharge mode, or the time it has been performing the function it is currently doing. It is the readouts which make this charger exceptional! It can help you identify under-performing batteries, and makes it easy to match cells by the actual battery capacity, not a guess just because the batteries were from the same package.
You can charge batteries at different charging rates, ranging from 200ma up to 1.8a. You can be charging at different rates in each channel, but just need to keep in mind that the charging rate you choose in channel 1 will be the maximum charging rate on any other channel. Keep in mind that while you do have control over the charge rate, if you charge at too high of a value, the cells can heat up quite a bit. The unit does have thermal shutoff to protect the cells, but heat can damage nimh cells. The default rate is 200ma which is a gentle charge rate even for AAA cells, but if you are using AA batteries, you will probably choose a higher charge rate.
If you choose the discharge, test, or refresh functions, you can choose the discharge rate. With the test and refresh functions, the discharge rate will always be 1/2 of the charging rate. It will discharge the battery down until the voltage of the cell reaches 1 volt. In test and refresh functions, it will then charge the battery back to full capacity.
The charger also comes with a canvas bag containing 4 AA 2000ma cells, 4 AAA 700ma cells, and 4 battery adapters which allow you to use AA batteries to power C or D cell devices. It makes a handy carrying case for the charger, extra batteries, and a camera, film and accessories. You can sling the strap across your shoulder, or use the belt loop to carry it on your belt. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great little grill
I've owned a Weber Go-Anywhere for a couple of years now and it's been a regular part of my outdoor cooking. Gets up to temperature quickly and is great for grilling simple stuff like salmon, chicken and sausages. The food doesn't taste *quite* as good as my mesquite-fired kettle BBQ but the Go-Anywhere also doesn't take 30 minutes to fire up.

The piezzo lighter flaked out on my Weber a couple of months after I bought it but it's pretty easy to light with a match. As another review mentioned, they do rust pretty quickly but they're really sturdy and basic. It grills as well as it did when I first bought it.

Strongly recommended for folks looking for a small, no-nonsense (or frills) gas BBQ.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great portable grill that won't disappoint
This Webber gas grill is a joy to use. It is easily portable (perfect for tailgating, picnics ...) and simple to use. You can buy the propane tanks in any department store ...I have found that one propane can... is enough for at least 3 grill times (for 2 people).

The food itself cooks well and has a nice flavoring. Dogs, burgers and ribs have all come out very well using this grill. There is enough surface area to feed about 3 adults on average.

My only complaint would be that the gas starter button is a little flimsy; you need to be careful when starting it. But this is a great product and I love using it.

5-0 out of 5 stars There just isn't a better portable grill anywhere.
I remember in college my roomie had this old gas hibachi purchased at WalMart for about $25. It was all we could use at the apartment, so it had to be small. It cooked unevenly, never got super hot, but got us through two years of school.

Fast forward nine years later, where $50 doesn't seem like a huge sum of cash anymore. Based on some reviews here, I ordered it up. I have cooked ten meals on it - pork, chicken, burgers, fish tonight. It cooks better than ANY grill I have used before, full-size or not.

It gets pretty hot, for one. The drip pan over the pro-style burner tube vaporizes all of the fallen juices, smoking things up real good and giving food a great flavor. You just have to let it crank for 10 minutes on high to get up to temp, then adjust the temp to your liking.

You can tell out of the box the difference Weber makes in grill making. It is heavier than you would think. The burner tube is a full length unit, covering the enetire cooking area. The regulator is even better than on the portable grills you find at K Mart. The drip pan replaces those terrible, smoky, greasy lava rocks. The ignitor is a nice touch.

Some keys to good grilling though - always, always keep the lid on. Don't poke your food - lets all the juices out!

Only cons to this unit -- the disposable propane tanks get expensive, and this grill goes through them pretty quickly (if you use the grill every day, of course). And lastly, the right side of the unit cooks ever so slightly cooler then the rest of the unit (good for veggies, etc).

Best portable anywhere!

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Little Grill
I bought this grill specifically for tailgating at PetCo Park when my beloved Milwaukee Brewers came to town. Since PetCo doesn't allow charcoal grills, I had to settle for cooking my brats over gas. I was able to cook four brats, two ears of corn and some beer soaked onions in tin foil all at the same time with this grill. There was even a breeze that day, and it didn't blow the flame out. The only small complaint is the starter didn't work too well - luckily, I brought a pack of matches along just in case. Otherwise, this grill worked just fine!

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing
I purchased an Oregon Scientic WR 103 and was very disappointed withthe quality of this product. It's supposed to have a feature called "non-volatile memmory back up."When the first storm that came through after purchase, I was excited to see it work.It got the NWS alert signal, turned itself on, and broadcast the alert.OK its working just fine, I thought. Then came the first nearby lightning strike.Instantly the radio lost all power and memory, including the NOAA channel and county codes. No other appliances in my home were affected.I called Oregon Scientific; customer service said that it was defective and should be replaced.

Amazon did a great job handling the return and providing service.I received a replacement a few days later.I programmed the new one and used if for ten minutes. In the first ten minutes the Oregon Scientific radio lost all memory three times.I don't want to have to depend on this usit in a storm.

4-0 out of 5 stars Oregon Scientific WR103 Weather Radio
I bought this approximately 3 weeks ago.So far, it has worked as advertised. The battery door is a little tricky, you would think there could have been a better design for this. The buttons are well mapped out and can be easily pressed. The unit has volume up/down on the left side and a "Indiglo/Snooze" button on the right side.In order for the radio to work properly, one must enter the proper codes pertaining to your county so that when severe weather is in or near your county, it will go off.The unit is slightly difficult to program but the instructions do a good job of explaining everything.

The unit includes a belt clip, stand, and an AC adapter. The ac adaptor is really nice because you can plug it into the wall and not have to use batteries.I called the manufacturer to see if batteries can be in the radio while it is connected to the AC adapter and they said it was no problem.

Overall, I do like this unit and for the price, it really can't be beat.

1-0 out of 5 stars Oregon Scientific WR103 Weather and Emergency Alert Monitor
I currently have a Reecom weather radio. I wanted a second unit for my RV so I was looking for a weather radio that was smaller, more portable, and one that ran on batteries. The problems started upon receipt of the unit. I took the battery compartment door off to put batteries in and the little battery compartment door o-ring came off. I put batteries in and I somehow was able to put the o-ring back on (tricky). The programming of the unit was not user friendly because the programming mode "times out" quickly if buttons aren't pushed soon enough. If the programming mode times out any information entered thus far is lost and I had to start over. VERY frustrating. Once the programming was done I wanted to see if this radio would go off during the weekly test just like my Reecom. This unit RARELY went off during the weekly test and when it did I could barely hear it. It rarely went off during a real weather alert and when it did I could barely hear it. The kicker happened about a week ago when the power button fell off. I took the batteries out and thew the radio in the trash. I would steer clear of this model. ... Read more

Perfect for parties, this smokeless, tabletop grill from Casa Moda adds novelty and fun to any dining experience. A thick ceramic tray measuring 13-1/2 inches across both provides compartments for food storage, and serves as a foundation. Centered on the tray, a sturdy, metal pedestal houses a fuel canister while supporting the grilling pan. The fuel holder fits a 7-ounce can of chafing fuel--sold separately--and includes a heat-resistant handle with built-in snuffer. A textured grilling surface has perforations around its outer edge that allow fats and oils to drip away from food into a tray below. This grilling ensemble can prepare low-fat food, and is ideal for grilling small-sized meat and vegetables. Four included color-coded, 9-inch roasting forks round out the set. The grill top and pan should be hand washed to preserve their nonstick surface. Both forks and tray are dishwasher-safe. -- Amy Arnold

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product, don't review this until you OWN it!
I can't believe someone reviews a product without actually owning it, that isn't fair to the product. Anyway, it DOES include a battery (not sure exactly what type) but it's inside of the grass shearer. Just plug it's cable into the A/C and it charges. When it's ready to be used, it works like a charm in hard to reach areas of the garden. For me, I find it especially useful around patio lights that can't be mowed around easily. I'm sure I'll find other areas of the garden too!

The included tools are very nice. They have rubberized grips and look like quality tools. The kneepad could be a little softer, but it'll do. The hand pruner worked perfectly to oust a HUGE weed in the garden. Gloves are decent too.
The carrying bad is large, tough, and better than expected. A great addition!
It even comes with a 30-day no risk satisfaction guarantee. How can you go wrong for $24.99? If you bought all these items seperately, it'd be way more than that. Just a pair of garden gloves can be $15!

We just moved into our first single family home less than a week ago and I took a risk and pre-ordered this Black and Decker gardening set. It's a perfect set. Great for first time home owners like me, who literally don't own one gardening tool! (NONE!) A great set, and I am happy with it!

Happy gardening!

3-0 out of 5 stars What kind of battery does this use?
Does anyone know whether this uses the same 3.6 Volt Versapak battery as the Scumbuster and Dustbuster? Black and Decker is certainly making it difficult to determine. I looked all over the box in The Home Depot and couldn't find the answer. My guess is they are trying to hide the fact that the battery probably isn't included.
It's aggravating, because I might be willing to buy this anyway since I already own Versapak batteries, but they treat you like an idiot and leave you guessing.
I tried to submit a question to B&D web site, but, of course, they want me first to create an account and give them all my personal information.

1-0 out of 5 stars You would be better off with a trash bag
I received this free as part of a promotion; if had cost me anything, I'd be returning it. Even the bag in which the cover is packaged is made of a much heavier gauge plastic.
I suppose it would be an adequate dust cover if you were storing the barbeque in your garage or a shed for the winter. I'll be surprised if it makes until the end of summer in a daily environment of hours of direct sunlight and salt air . I expect I'll be covering my Patio Caddie with a large heavy-duty drawstring trash bag this winter.

1-0 out of 5 stars One star is better than it deserves....
I had to replace my Gas-Weber Grill (sigh) with a pedestal model because I relocated and have only an itty-bitty porch on which to place a BBQ.. The grill itself ain't a Weber by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm learning how to use it. The cover, by contrast, is a piece of junk. Portland in the winter can become windy, and I've placed the 'feet' of the grill over the cover to hold it down, so that solved any airborne problems with this cheap, flimsy thing. But it's less than a year old and torn in a number of places.. I swear Saran Wrap would be a better substitute if one had the patience to apply it. A rubber-bonded tarp is what I'm looking for now.. I'll tie the darn thing down. At $14, it's still a royal RIP.

1-0 out of 5 stars grill cover
This is a very poor quailty for a so called cover, very thin when it get's cold it will crack with a little wind. Maybe buy a different type of cover, material wise, or a little thicker gage of plastic.

2-0 out of 5 stars Patio Caddie Cover
This cover will not last if it's exposed to the elements (sun, rain and wind). This cover only lasted me about one year.

1-0 out of 5 stars poor quality, tears easily
I have purchased several of these covers in the three years I have owned my grill, because I have lost two to wind and the third was torn up over time. Unfortunately, Char-Broil is the only company that makes this particular shape, so there are no options. The material is extremely flimsy, and it is not long enough to tuck under the bottom of the grill to prevent it from blowing away. Id say, buy a Weber cover that can fit over the Patio Caddie - its probably more durable. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Beats the hell out of the spit rods
Have you guys tried useing the spit rods. You have to be kidding me. I cant keep my food on the grill with it. So i went looking for the next best thing for my favorite pastime and thats firing up the BBQ. And I stumpled across this cradle design rotisserie by weber. Well it fit perfect in my Genesis Grill. And with the falling out problems have any of you tried tightening the thumb screws? It work perfectly. You might have to stop it and retighten during the half way point because the meat does shrink as it cooks. And the ends come off to fit in the dishwasher, but if your doing some big "burn time" you might have to soak it on the dishwasher for a few mins But it was the best thing that I have bought for my favorite pastime.

5-0 out of 5 stars I use mine AT LEAST twice a week.
Just so everyone knows, this product isn't actually manufactured by Weber. It is made by a company that has been custom designing this cradle rotisserie for commercial kitchens for over 20 years. They also make large catering equipment. They make this rotisserie for other grill companies like Viking, and Ducane. I bought mine directly from the company - EZ-Que, Inc. in Auburn Hills, Michigan. They are very popular where we live because they started marketing here first. I've been using mine at least 10 years - before Weber started carrying them a couple of years ago. The one I have is the exact same product. I give at least 2 or 3 of these a year as gifts - along with other cradle rotisserie products that EZ-Que, Inc. puts out- a campfire version called The Hobo, and a kettle ring rotisserie that fits Weber kettle grills. Mine still looks brand new, and I have NEVER encountered ANY of the problems that people mention in these reviews. I cook with it AT LEAST 2 times a week.

Some important things:

1. The 6" inch cradle is meant for cooking meats like chickens and small roasts. The 8" cradle is meant for cooking items like turkey and leg of lamb. The ones sold directly by EZ-Que come with a brochure that shows how to place different meats in the cradle. I don't think Weber packages this brochure with the product.

2. I have always cleaned mine in the dishwasher, and have never lost a part. If you soak the parts for 15 minutes they come out sparkling clean.

3. I have NEVER had meat fall out of the cradle. If someone is having a problem with that it must be because they have not read the instructions on how to place the meat. I have cooked things as small as . Ribs lie flat. You have to make sure to tighten down the clamps and finger screws.

4. EZ-Que, Inc. has a lifetime gaurantee on the cradle and parts. The motor that comes with the one marketed for Weber is not the motor that the company that manufactures the rotisserie sells with the cradle. The chrome plated motor that comes from EZ- Que is designed for the cradle.

I have done a lot of business with the owner of the company over the years, and I know he takes a great deal of pride in his products. He loves to hear comments about what people think about his products. I just saw him at a barbecue industry show in California where the company took the product of the year award for his design. His name is John, and the company phone number is 248-373-0666.

My reccomendation is to buy it straight from the manufacturer - the company always gives great service, can answer any questions about how to use the rotisserie, offers a life time warranty, and it comes with a much better motor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Superior Rotisserie
This is a superior rotisserie!!! I'm leaving mine in my will to my grandkids. I've been disappointed and thrown away at least a half dozen or more spit-rod rotisseries in my life. I thought I would give rotisserie cooking another try.

Sure wish I owned the patents on this!! It's definately the wave of the future. As an engineer, I can see all the thought that went in to the design. I was intrigued by the whole concept of the style, design, and the apparent durability of it. This beats any other rotisserie I have ever seen. The design allows it to carry a lot more meat than a spit rod could. It's made out of all stainless steel which holds up to the heat and doesn't peel like the chrome spit rods do. The adjustable clamping arms hold any meat I put in it, no matter what shape. Depending on what you are cooking, the meat clamp tongs reverse to tightly hold. I just set my meat in the cradle, securely tighten the clamping arms and put it on the grill. It self balances, so I don't need that clunky counter balance that has killed every rotisserie motor I've seen. The motor that came with my EZQue is a real workhorse. It effortlessly turns the big loads of whole chickens and roasts.

I have a large family that gets together for barbecue all the time. I followed the advice of one of the posters and bought mine from Innovative Cradle Rotisseries on E-Bay. From what I was told, they are the only company in the world that manufactures this ingenious advancement in barbecue technology. Come to find out, everything about the product is patented. It really IS a product that is past due. I spent a lot of time talking to the customer service person - I've never seen such great personal attention. They told me that Weber was given an exclusive for 3 years to market the 9891 and that is no longer being made. (When I called the Weber hotline to ask about the 9891, the only thing they could tell me is "This thing comes down and holds the meat." Not much help.) Then I called the customer service at EZQue, they are not only knowledgeable about their own products, but knew every detail about the grills that they make the product for. They ARE the authorities in rotisserie in my book. Although the company has been around since the early 80s they only sold through grill companies. They make them for all grills, not just Weber and they also make big ones for pigs and catering.

Anyway, being a Weber fan, I strayed from the Weber brand name package and decided to buy direct. Am I ever glad I did. The EZQue one is a better made product than the 9891 - with a motor that is better suited to the job.

I love my EZQue rotisserie so much I went back and ordered ones for all of my friends and family's grills for Christmas, and it's only July. I got a couple Webers, a Ducane, and Charbroil. They made sure that I got the right model for all my friend's different grills, and are even custom making one for a Jennaire for a grill my parents just bought. I bought a portable campfire one that I got to take with us to use on the beach when we go sailing, and a kit that I can build into my outdoor fire hearth at our cabin. My son in collage has a charcoal kettle, they had a rotisserie to fit that. They even shipped on to my brother overseas. Next year they are going to have a line for Charbroil, and Sunbeam. Now the pastor of my church is looking at getting a few of the 3 foot long double rotisserie EZQue grills to rent for events and weddings.

Superior design, superior service, superior grill accessory, superior limited lifetime gaurantee.

And, did i forget to mention how UNBELIEVABLY juicy and beautiful anything I cook on it turns out? Superior rotisserie cooking!

5-0 out of 5 stars A dream, one great product, be wary of "refurbished" sellers
I'd like to say thank you to the person that wrote a review and lead me to the manufacturer of the Weber 9891 rotisserie. I found the website for the company, it's www.ezqueinc.com. My family LOVES to cook outside with our Weber grill, and we LOVE rotisserie cooking. I purchased a new rotisserie cradle directly from the E-Z Que people after I saw the review, and what I got today is a top of the line product. We barbecued with it tonight, and it works like a dream. We had the best rotisserie chicken cooked in one side and a pork loin roast on the other side, then we did a slab of baby back ribs. All of the parts were precision fitted, went together well, I got a diagram about how to place different meats in the rotisserie. Everything went perfectly. It cleaned up like a dream, I did as the company told me, disassemble the parts, place in the sink with soapy water, and let soak for about 20 minutes. Every part came out shiny with very little scrubing. I originally had bought what I think may have been a "refurbished" model that came with a plastic case motor. From what I hear in the reviews, it sounds like they were duped like I was the first time around. The company that manufactures the rotisserie told me they have a limited life time warantee, and do not sell or authorize anyone to refurbish their products. The one I got frome E-Z Que came with a much stronger metal casing motor - you can tell there is a big difference in the quality in the one I bought from E-Z Que, it seems to handle the turning better, is quieter, and runs smoother.

My advice, from a customer that has gone from discouraged to elated.....This is one great product that proved everything it stated it could do. Make sure you buy the original. It cost me a little bit more, but, I think I'll be using this product for many years to come.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderfull addon for my grill
Out of all the items that I have bought for my grill, this is bya far the best one yet. Im cooking my chicken on it almost every weekend and the occasional beef round. Even my wife who wouldnt even get near my grill is haveing fun with me in the prep area of getting it ready to put on the grill. I owned the old rod and fork rotisserie and I threw it in the garbage after useing this cradle style rotisserie. For anyone that is a true backyard BBQer I would say "hell yeah its about time" that someone made a better system. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
I own a Black & Decker LE750 Edgehog. Mine is Green with a black handle. The blade shown in the picture is not the same one I received. The part number is the same (EB007) but the center hole cutout is not the same as depicted. I received a center round hole cut whereas the picture shows a polygonal type hole. That's the blade I really needed. Even if you eliminated the washer with the built in polygonal template you still ended up with a driveshaft with 2 sides flatten. As I mentioned the center hole in the blade is round. Still, even putting the supplied washers on both sides of the blade, the blade will eventually come loose the moment it makes contact with a stone or concrete. Now that I own 4 of them in order to get the free shipping I now have a lifetime of edger blades that I will constantly be tightening. If the picture is from an older model try updating your parts list. I should of gone to Sears.

Overall, not bad...You need to be carefull and not hit the concrete or blacktop too often or the life goes way down. I'm still using my first blade that I had when I bought this in February... ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Better value than purchasing pans in the store
Do the math on purchasing these drip pans....you have a little over a dollar in each pan...if you purchase similar aluminum pans in the grocery store, you will pay quite a bit more, and they won't be as sturdy as these pans.

After having ripped a number of the cheap pans from the store, I ordered some of these pans at an opportune time..I will definitely use the standard Weber pans for my grilling needs rather than the aluminum pans available in the grocery store.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Produce
I love the convenient use of these pans to clean up blood from a grille or the grease after skinning a fat pig. When not in use with your deluxe 200s Genesis Grille, they can double as leak pans for leaking roofs in the rainy season. ... Read more
