This has got to be one of the best buys that Amazon has! Very Disappointed
I purchased several of these for myself and family. I was very disappointed, to say the least. I expected a much larger, better quality wind chime...especially for the price. I would not recommend these type windchimes to anyone.

I love my chimes!
These chimes are a quality item at a reasonable price. They are very melodic and pleasant-sounding. They never seem to hit the wrong note. The ideal placement is supposed to be the Northwest corner of one's house. At our house, that would have them in the garage! They seem to be doing fine on our patio and don't disturb anyone's sleep either.

Beautiful!
I love these wind chimes. They have a full, rich, pleasing sound that is neither too jarring nor fades into the background. My only complaint is the shiny, relfective inset on one side. Otherwise, this set is perfect.

This unit is "NOT" ringing my chimes
I bought these chimes for my wife's walking path in the front of the house. Recently we had very heavy winds followed by rain. During the heavy wind storm the chimes did not even sound at all. These chimes are definitly not worth the money it cost me. If it wasn't for the cost of returning this junk, I would have sent it back the very day I took it out of the box. I can get better sound from three empty soda cans tied with string. Stay away from this one.

no sound
I have a set of these windchimes and though beautifully tuned, I could never get them to ring. I have other types of chimes on the outside of my house, they all chime, but I could never find a location where these would ring. I am very disappointed with this product.

I have had Woodstock Wind Chimes for years. The wood top got weather beaten after about 8 years. I called them. They said to send it to them. They put new wood on it, checked the tuning and restrung it. What did they charge?????? NOTHING !!

All they asked was that I would "pass the word" or remember them when I need a gift. So I am doing both..... telling all of you and I'm buying a couple for gifts. This is a Great price too!!!

You can't go wrong with Woodstock Wind Chimes. Made in the Catskill Mountains of New York!! BUY AMERICAN !

Sounds are beautiful
The sounds of this windchime are absolutely beautiful, however, I am having a difficult time placing the windchimes where the chimes will work. I have moved them all over my yard and have not yet found the most suitable place. A peaceful sound does come out of these chimes and through trial and error I will find the right location for them.

Well Tuned
I tend to like the bigger windchimes -- the ones with full, rich tones. But it's good to have a tinkler around to complete the sound spectrum.

The tones ring clear with no dissonance. The sound is very peaceful, despite the high pitch that comes from such short chimes.

There is one problem, however. One side of the wind catcher (the diamond-shaped part at the bottom) has a reflective part that is meant to catch the sun, and refract and reflect the various colors of the light. Unfortunately the disk is nothing more than a reflective sticker. The temperature and humidity changes between night and day in autumn have caused this sticker to begin to peal. I suspect within a few weeks it will come completely off.

Sounds so good!
A lovely sound when the wind blows only problem, the summer wasn't windy. So I had to help move the chime along to sound.
Since I leave in a cold area, I'll be taking it down soon since with the window closed it will be impossible to hear and no need for it to weather over the winter. Already look forward to spring so that I may hear the chime ring again.

The sound is a gentle one, one that nourishes the soul and the ear. Love to work out in the garden and hear the chimes in the breeze!

Woodstock bells are the best
These chimes are quite ususal. I have seen other garden bell stakes, but these are the best. The impact they have on a flower garden is beautiful. It takes a rather big wind to make them chime, but I enjoy gentle noises the best when it comes to sitting in my garden. Hearing them gently chime when I water my flowers makes it fun.
