This is my experience with the Woodstock Garden Bell, Large
These bells are beautiful & definitely add to the front yard. They need either a strong breeze or a brush with your hand to make them chime. I would not return them as I'm pleased with my purchase & in the future would like to buy a second one. I can say from looking around this is a very good price. They do not chime alot but they are "bells"(I wonder if they would chime more if the bells & their stems were hung upside down?? *grin* just kidding). I put them next to the path to my door so I can ring them when I walk by. I was disappointed one windy day when they fell over & some of the bells came off the stems although all I had to do is put them back in place. I think before winter comes I'll sink the base a little into the ground & add rocks on top of the base stone to keep them from falling over again. I hope sharing my experience with them has been helpful in your decision about this product.

These are lovely chimes
I was pleased with the visual blending of the brass chimes in my garden. Also, the synthetic rock base to which they are attatched looked surprisingly realistic among the natural rock. Where I live there is seldom enough wind to make them ring, though. However, my outdoor cats have become fond of ringing them and I am considering buying a second one.

Excellent product! Even though it was identified as "used", the item looks brand new. Also an excellent job was done packing the product for shipping!

Not pleased with it
... It seems to me that the unit makes little noise except in high direct wind.

Yes, I've read the instructions and performed the prescribed adjustments. It's still too quiet. Some would call it subtle I suppose.

My other problem is I find the unit ugly. I've had a hard time placing it anyplace in my garden where I can't conceal the base. I like the bells but the artificial rock base is cheesy ....

I wish I never bought this product. I received a cheap dragonfly stake as a free bonus with this purchase and I appreciate that stake more than the garden bells.

Garden Art
If you're looking for a nice piece of art, and what you see in thee picture looks good -- buy this. (It also comes in smaller version, and a version without a base.) If you're looking for something to make a lot of noise -- look someplace else.

I consider the occasional rings to be a bonus. It's a nice looking piece of outdoor art. The cupped bells on stems echo the flowers in other parts of my garden, adding a bit of artificial unity around my lower-growing hostas.

This is strictly decoration. It's not really all that functional, but I really like the way it looks, and I have no regrets about it's purchase. ... Read more
