Wonderful Gardena Product!
Love the hose attachments from Gardena. So easy on my wrists and arthritic fingers. They hold up beautifully in the Arizona sun, and unless I accidentally step on a connection, are holding up for many years. Our local hardware store stopped carrying the Gardena attachments and I was so delighted to find them at Amazon.

Watering Made Easy
Anybody who is still walking back to the spigot and twisting the end of a cold dirty hose eveytime they want to move a sprinkler is living in the last century. With the WATERSTOP connection you do not have to turn off the water every time you change attachments or add or delete hose. You can change attachments while while the hose system is fully pressurized while wearing your dress clothing; it is that simple and clean.

About as good as they get!
By far the smoothest and easiest to use of the plastic quick connect fittings. Have tried many others and they don't compare to the Gardenas. Don't know what kind of plastic they use, but the Texas sun doesn't seem to bother it . . . . they just keep on working. You will wonder how you ever got along without these - one for every hose and watering device is a must!

Gardena: Great Idea & Greater Value
Don't worry about the durability of Gardena gear; we have Gardena products around our house that have served us well for over twenty years.

We first saw Gardena at one of our big local hardware stores in 1978. At that time, the Gardena quick-connect stuff was just what we were looking for; the quick couplings on the compressed air system in the garage was so handy to use that we were inspired to try those (expensive!) air fittings with our outdoor water. That's right, rust would have been a big problem!

Fortunately, the store we went to had a big display of the then new (to us) Gardena products and we saw that they were clearly the answer. Back then, Gardena made a very cool car washing brush that attched to the end of the hose with a Gardena connector, but it also took a little pink stick of what turned out to be some of the best car wash soap we've ever used. Water flowing through the hose made suds of the soap stick (shampoo stick, they called it) and did a dandy job on the car or boat, then the soap ran out and you'd rinse the soap out of the brush and off the car without missing a beat.

Gardena has a well conceived product with excellent durability at a good price. Now that we've found a new source for this stuff at amazon.com, the ONLY drawback, in our view, is that Gardena is not an American-made product. ... Read more

Gardena flow control nozzle
I've been using these hose nozzles for almost 10 years and I really like them. They work well and have great "feel" but, unfortunately, they're somewhat fragile. Figure on replacing it annually, maybe once every 2 years if you're REALLY careful. One drop onto concrete from waist height and it'll break. Leave the water on 24/7 and the pressure will crack the body. Still, they're light and the plastic body means less potential for paint damage when washing your car. Despite the fragile factor I keep buying these because I haven't found a nozzle I like better.

Gardena Products convenient and reliable
I have used Gardena Products for years and love them. They are convenient and reliable. This nozzle is another great example.

But the 4 pound shipping weight on this item is rediculous. Including shipping materials the shipping weight is no more than a half pound.

Breaks During Real Use
I like the Gardena interconnect system and was initially pleased with this nozzle also. After about 6 months use...I dropped the thing....a large crack came across the body of it and it was no longer useable. I think dropping this on the ground is a design requirement. Since then I've purchared a metal nozzle from another vendor with 7 spray options and a lower price!

Okay nozzle
This nozzle is okay, but the knob to hold the position of the handle doesn't work that well. There should be more choices on the head as well since this product is high-priced. If you want a nozzle like this, buy a similar product made by Nelson (also sold here at amazon). ... Read more

Gardena rules
Yes, it's very good, nice feel to it, like all Gardena stuff. I've had one go "out of tune" and no amount of fiddling with the works would make it go full volume again. The method of tying down the activation bar with a wire loop isn't as sturdy as it might be. Quibbles, I own one for every faucet. When they converted Eagle Hardware to Lowes they quit carrying Gardena. Just one more reason that every time I visit Lowes I wonder why I bothered.

I've tested a bunch of watering tools and this one rates pretty well. But, finally settled on The "Waterquick" which actually does what it claims. It puts down maximum water without any blowback of dirt or debris. Also it protects fragile foliage from water damage. Excellent quality and design, sometimes brittle.
How can I say both things? Easy. The fit, finish and quality of these plastic pieces is typical Gardena. I have several Gardena pieces. But they are PLASTIC. I have broken a couple of these due to putting too much stress on the connection. Mostly my fault but probably wouldn't have happened with brass. I think it would be great if Gardena would offer a higher end set with brass connections.

Very Poor Quality Products
I have made a significant investment over the years in numerous Gardena watering products--sprinklers, shut-off valves, diverters, etc. ALL have failed in the short-term after modest use. In addition, contacts to the company for replacement or customer service have been met with no response. MY BEST ADVICE--stay away from Gardena products. Looks (from other posted comments)like my experience is not unique!

Shoddy, Shoddy
I purchased one at a local hardware store, and had the flimsy plastic end connector snap off the first time it was used. The store gladly exchanged for another one, and the exact same thing happened. For the fewer $$ I went and bought a heavy duty brass Y connector and 2 smaller brass Y connectors and made a much sturdier 4 tap system.

Worked 1 year - but not anymore
Have used Gardena products and swear by them - but all in all what is made of plastic and valves doesn't work forever - but at least a second watering season would be nice. I removed the distributor before winter arrived and then reattached it this spring. This season though ALL outlets provided water as soon as a "load" was applied even though all but one valve were closed. Couldn't 'wiggle' them enough to stop a low pressure constant flow. The kicker was it wasn't when the water was turned on. But only after ONE or more valves were opened and the water was free flowing through the hose line attached. If I shut off the flow at the end of the hose line with a sprayer - all is well...but just start to water (thus relieving pressure) and the other 2 or 3 would start to flow also? Again - I have 2 of these distributors. Both worked great season 1 - but only 1 is working season 2. I've contacted the manufacturer but heard nothing thus far (42 days). Others have written positive reviews on Gardena's customer service. Thus far I cannot say that is true.

Finally, four hoses in one!
I previously had purchased Y-connectors for my faucets, which only allowed me to connect two hoses at once. When I saw the Gardena Four-Way Distributor, I was skeptical about it, but it works wonderfully. It is very easy to use. Simply turn the knob above each hose to let the water flow through. When the knob is in the vertical position, the water is off. There is no guessing if you left the water running! The Four-Way Distributor works beautifully with the Gardena Timer. I am using the system with sprinklers, misters, and irrigation soaker hoses. If you have more than 4 hoses to connect, its a breeze to switch them out with the quick connectors. Despite its complex appearance, it is very simple to use. Its a great addition to any garden.

I have used this Gardena product extensively. I first purchased it for my home in the San Francisco Bay area and once again at our new location on the Gulf Coast. This item is so convenient particularly if you have just one or two faucet outlets around your home. The Gardena On/Off Valve is one of the few Gardena hose accessories that is somewhat fragile. I have several lengths of hose as well as multiple end tools, i.e. sprayer, pressure washer, ect., these waterstop connectors really make it easy to swap out different end tools quickly. Just be aware of the pressure backwash from the downstream side when disconnecting a length of hose out of a string!

Gardena very good, almost excellent
I have a number of Gardena sprinklers, wands and sprayers. Let me say that I have used none better, The only one I have an issue is with the 350T sprinkler, which has a water pressure robbing timer that makes the oscillator stick. My unit without the timer works great. For the reviewer that dropped the sprayer on the hard driveway and it broke, what did you expect? Why blame the product for your carelessness? Please! I have broken a couple sprayers in the same way and I cursed myself, not the manufacturer. Doggone Mercedes, I crashed my car into a pole and it broke. They should make a better car. Get real. Find better than Gardena, then buy it.

It ROCKS!
It will BLAST, it will sprinkle, and everything in between. Almost a power washer! Gentle enough to water plants, forceful enough to peel paint. The ultimate sprayer.

My Gardena Spray Gun finally broke - changed my eval...
I'm the same reviewer who wrote the review below titled "A Good Spray Gun". Well, I'm back to tell you the entire truth. Yes, it was a good spray gun. However, I recently hooked it up and went out to wash the car after giving it most of the winter off. No, I don't abuse the unit by leaving it outside in our sometimes freezing winter; it spends the winter in a warm garage in a box with some other nozzles, connectors, etc. Anyways, the first thing I noticed was that it wouldn't shut completely off. When I released the handle, it kept spraying at a reduced rate. Wanting to get away from the spray, I handed it to my wife so I could continue scrubbing winter goo off the car. At least I thought I handed it to her...

The unit fell about four feet onto our driveway and split into two pieces; a handle and a nozzle. Needless to say, I'm NOT impressed with a product that could break this easily. I never leave it out in the sun - so UV damage to the plastic can be ruled out. What we have here is a product that works great when new, but isn't meant for long term use. I still like the Gardena system of connectors and attachments. I like the system so much that I now use it to connect my new brass spray gun to the hose. If you're going to buy one of these, realize that it is a disposable unit. If you're looking for something that will last you for the long term, look elsewhere.

Best gentle shower ever
I first bought one of these about 4 years ago, I don't remember where. It has the finest, gentlest shower spray setting of any nozzle I've found, and I buy at least one each year, hoping to find one better than this Gardena. You can even use the shower setting on tender seedlings. It served well until one of my kids dropped it. Being plastic (unfortunately), it cracked and now leaks. I had looked all over the internet before finding it available here. Now, if they'd just make the dang thing out of metal (it costs enough that it should be) it would be about perfect.

A Good Spray Gun
The Gardena system works for me. I use the spray gun while watering plants, washing off walks, washing cars, etc. The sprayer has four settings for different output. I like the fact that the sprayer can be coupled / de-coupled from a pressurized hose with minimal leaks. Just remember, if you plan to attach this spray gun to a pressurized hose, squeeze the trigger while attaching - otherwise you'll never be able to overcome the 80 PSI in the hose.

My spray gun is 1-1/2 years old and continues to work perfectly. The connectors are plastic, so I wonder about long-term durability - I have not experienced any problems yet, and have observed minimal leaks. ... Read more

It's the BEST!
I have purchased all types of trigger sprayers throughout the years - metal, plastic, cheap, expensive, you name it and I believe this one to be the best on the market!

I have purchased several Gardena Trigger Nozzle sprayers with each one lasting for years. I was a little hesitant purchasing my first one many years ago, because I had always purchased metal trigger sprayers. But, I found that although this sprayer is made of plastic, it is very durable. This product can withstand lots of abuse such as, shooting down my dog kennel daily, getting dropped on cement, (many times) and can even withstand a periodic chewing from one of my dogs!

The sprayer adjusts easily from a fine mist to a straight stream of water, great for shooting down my kennel or leaves on the driveway. This is the only sprayer I have found that sprays a good strong straight stream. Other brands of trigger sprayers I have purchased don't provide this function nearly as well as the Gardena Trigger Nozzle.

In addition, the Quick Connect set makes it so simple to just, "pop it on" and "pop it off" in only seconds.

I highly recommend this product to everyone, it's the best!

Good for fair weather living
I've owned 3 of these units. The overall handle and feel of the product is great. The immediate ability to change the spray setting is one of the easiest of all nozzles. This is probably attributed to the plastic construction and low friction. The quick-disconnect also is the major reason for the initial purchase. This allows water to run without having to completely unscrew the nozzle - super convenient.

However, all praise stops here. When cold weather hits - the plastic construction of the handle literally breaks. The little lockout lever snapped off and eventually the actual rear handle broke. So, if you live in cool climates and expect to drop the nozzle and hose, this is basically a disposable unit - no wonder they have the quick disconnect! ... Read more
