Less than satisfied
I was so excited about my Black&Decker Mouse. I thought I'd be able to tackle my difficult sanding jobs. I thought it would do more than it does, and I'm dissapointed that there's only 3 grades of sandpaper. It was billed as a sander and it's more of a fine tuner or a polisher/scrubber. It doesn't sand very well. They need a wider range of grit for a lesser cost, such as 50 grit. I feel like I was ripped off. It's a glorified polisher that can get into the nooks.

Great For Small Projects
The Black and Decker "Mouse Sander" is a wonderfully easy to use tool.Lightweight and easy to hold it is a shame that the pads need to be replaced often while working on a particular item, so you wouldn't want to use it on a big job.ie: bureau,chest,etc..I have used mine to do large jobs when no other options were available and by the time you buy replacement pads in the right grit to complete the project,you could have had a nice down payment on a larger and more efficient sander.Once I completed my first table,I searched around looking for other projects simply to use this tool.I recommend it to first time refinishers.

220 Grit sand paper for Palm Sander
The palm sander fits easily in the palm of your hand and reduces fatique form long project use. The 220 grit is not available in Lowes or Home Depot so getting it on line is easy and it offers another grade of the product. Do-it-yourselfers avoid costly sandpaper
Although the Black and Decker Mouse can be a handy gadget for sanding, the cost of replcement sandpaper will take the finish off any project.Six dollars for five sheets is approx, 10 times the cost of replacement paper for orbital sanders.I had to adjust my B and D to accept less costly adhesive backed paper.......buyer beware of expensive accessories. ... Water and B&D Scrubbers don't mix
How does one scrub without water? Darned hard, I say. I use the mouse to scrub a working sink, and while it works well and gets stains out, the rubber plate to which the scrubber attaches continuously comes off the tool when wet. The store graciously replaced the entire unit, but it happened again the next time I scrubbed. A little super-glue was all it took for the pad to stay on. Now...why can't they do that at the manufacturer? Otherwise, a powerful little scrubber, if you're willing to put up with peeling corners and such. ... Read more

Great design but expensive!
The design of the Mouse sandpaper is fantastic. Each sheet
comes with 2 spare "tips." As the pointy tip of the sandpaper sheet on the mouse wears away much quicker than the body (because you use it to get into detailed areas), you can just replace the tip. This makes each sheet of sandpaper last much much longer.

That's good news because the sheets are expensive! Talk about giving away the razor and selling the blades! The unti comes with 20 sheets of paper, which is nearly $[money] worth! Each sheet is over a $[money]!!!! Given that full sheets of sandpaper cost that much, it's pretty precious.

Of course, you could become good at cutting out your own sheets. The mouse is great, but the company better get better at selling cheaper paper.
