The VERY BEST Hot wings...
I purchased the hot wing kit from Eastman because my wife and I love wings.
This is a high quality cooker that is well thought out. The pot and basket are rugged and durable. This product is built to last. Even the handles on the pot are better than I expected for the price.
The first batch that I cooked following the instructions that came with the kit turned out to be the best we have ever eaten. We have cooked them for friends and parties and there are never any left. Friends always ask for the recipe. We don't tell very many people about the sauce though.
Get one of these kits and you will be a sucessful chef in high demand.

Good Unit, Wish Packing Was Better
The first one of these we received was on time but could have been packed better by the manufacturer. We ended up with a thumbnail-sized hole rubbed through the non-stick coating on the inside of the basket. However, Amazon took it back with no problems and shipped another one without hassle. All we had to do was print out the label, tape the box closed and drop it off at the UPS office.

The second unit still could have been packed better, even though Amazon put it inside of another, larger box this time. We had a few dings on the teflon but not enough to affect the performance (we hope). It was dented also, but the dents were easy to push back into shape so we accepted it.

Assembly of the burner stand is a little tedious but fairly normal. Cooking is great. The burner is powerful and quick to heat the oil. Took about 15 minutes to heat 4 gallons. Just don't let the thermometer get held between the bird and the wall of the fryer or you'll end up heating the oil to over 400 degrees like I did. Whee! The video that comes with it is good for starters but it is filled with plugs for Eastman Outdoors products, and the guy is just goofy. But it helps if you have never deep fried a turkey before to see it done on film.

All in all a good set from what I can tell, although it's my first one so what do I know!

All turkey frying machines are dangerous. Use this product, if so inclined, but be careful.

Great turkey and MORE
Last year I bought a bare bones turkey fryer in time for Thanksgiving and decided fryed turkey was the only way to go.
This summer I started thinking "what else can I cook outside in oil that will be BETTER for the experience?" and got the Whole Enchilada to try out wings, fish, tempura veggies that are the BEST. I've even done chicken-fryed steaks in oil and they are great. Just bread them like you normally would and use the shallow pot for cooking. I debated whether or not to get the non-stick for twenty bucks more and am glad I did. During the summer I used the garden hose for cleaning the baskets and it couln't be easier. ... Read more
