A waste of money
This product is a complete waste of money, and the marketing spiel on the box about how it takes less than 10 seconds to assemble the table is, in my opinion, nothing short of a lie.

Product quality is terrible, and assembly is a total pain. The legs unfold pretty quickly, but attaching the upper runners and the table top is an excercise in frustration since you need to line the pegs up with holes that can't be seen during the assembly - lots of groping around needed. Putting the table back in its carrying bag is even worse, and takes about 10 minutes to do.

I immediately sent the product back to Amazon since it does not in any way meet the claims in the ad - but unfortunately I am now $30 out of pocket for returning it.

Fabulous wok for outdoor cooking on the Big Kahuna burner
This wok came as part of a kit with our Big Kahuna outdoor burner. It is very thin and fairly lightweight, which turns out to be a good thing as it makes it easier to handle this huge wok while cleaning. Cooking in this wok is a breeze, the oil heats quickly and the food cooks beautifully. Clean up has been very easy and simple with just soap, water, and a sponge. Clean up only occasionally requires an SOS pad to remove some of the oil e.g. from carmelizing onions; foods do not stick to the wok. The large size makes it very easy to cook, with the only complaint being that it is a little hard to rinse in the kitchen sink due to the wide diameter. For that reason alone, it may be worth it to get the smaller 18" stainless steel wok. Other than that, we couldn't be happier with the 22" stainless steel wok and the Big Kahuna burner! First use made PERFECT turkey!
I bought this professional grade turkey fryer after returning two others which came with aluminum pots. I insist on a stainless steel pot set after having read about the long term harmful effects of aluminum in the human brain.

The first attempt at cooking a turkey was a resounding success. I watched the video, my wife prepared the turkey with an injectable marinade and Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning on the outside of the bird. We followed the instruction manual exactly, timing the cooking of the 11.6 lb bird at 40 minutes. The Eastman burner performed really well, heating the bottom of the stainless steel pot very uniformly. (This is required as steel is not as thermally conductive as aluminum; hence the uniform heating becomes much more important on steel pots.)

The unit arrived with a small ding in the side of the large pot due to shipping issues, and the threads in the Ventura burner were tapped slightly off center, resulting in a slight concern that the gas line threaded insert wasn't held secure. However, this turned out to not be a problem, and I decided to keep the unit.

I've eaten other fried turkeys, and the one that we cooked ourselves had the best flavor, and no burn/overcooking anywhere. I attribute this success to our carefully following Eastman's directions, as well as their design of the burner.

A word of warning for newbies
I wish they had mentioned that a propane tank was needed, and how many are needed. I am completely and utterly new at this, and purchased it without knowing that it needed a propane tank. Upon receiving it, I had to go search for a tank and found that even THAT information was wrong - as a new tank will run you more, but no one gives information for newbies, just for seasoned users. So I'm saddled with this fryer and a tank and hoping that it will fry the one turkey I want it to. More info for those of us who are brand spanking new at this, please. ... Read more

Works with reservation
This pump is a step backwards from the previous two battery version (this one has three batteries). The additional battery make it too heavy on the top so it doesn't sit well in the pot. It has a tendency to tip over, or at least shift from the position you set it at.

I would agree with some of the other reviews that it seems to loose power after the first use. The thicker the oil, the harder a time it has. If you heat the oil before filtering, it works much better. Note that you don't want to get the oil too hot - perhaps nothing hotter than 100 degrees. I cracked the clear tube in my old two-battery one by running boiling water through it (requiring the purchase of this model).

If you can find the older version, I highly recommend it, but the three battery version is definately a step backwards.

Pump dies during first use
I had bought the battery version of this pump as gifts for other turkey fryers and bought the electric one for myself two months ago. Used it for the first time today, all was well until the pump lets out a little smoke and quit after pumping 4.5 gal of room temp oil. I called the Eastman Outdoors help line and they were very good about offering to ship out a new unit but had no advice on why the pump died or whether this has been a common problem.

I'll see how the replacement unit works out the next time I do a turkey. Now I'm wondering how the battery versions I bought for gifts worked out in comparison.

The easy way to poor out the oil (after cool)
This is a must have for anyone who has trouble lifting 5 gallons of oil in a slippery cooker. The pump is the same as the ones that pump kerosene. So you can get the same thing cheap locally if you don't want to wait for shipping. Fast, self priming, easy.
