This item didn't ship in 24 hours (error in shipping department), but customer service was extremely pleasant to deal with & rectified the problem. The bird bath is beautiful; better than I'd hoped for! It is very sturdy & well put together! It looks marvelous in my yard! I'm definitely glad I waited it out!

Bird bath
Easy to assemble, with a heavy base to keep it upright. Bowl is cast aluminum which makes it lightweight. Only complaint is that bowl gets very hot in full sun, unlike concrete bowls. I don't know what effect, if any, this may have on the birds, but the water gets quite warm.

Very Nice
I originally saw these torches in one of those 'upscale' (read high priced) catalogs but did not want to pay such a high price. Then I discovered these very same items in Amazon.com and at a much lower price. So the rule here is: Find what you like, but check Amazon because it will most likely be at a better price.

The torches are of good quality and actually somewhat larger than what I expected, yet they look great. My only problem was that one pole attachment was broken in one set that I ordered. This was due to the fact that the manufacturer's packaging is more for retail stocking and not so robust for UPS shipping....

After doing significant due diligence and comparing many torches, we chose to purchase these torches sight unseen. Many of the competing brands looked nice on-line; however, after viewing them at a local retailer, they were of poor construction.

I love this fountain
I was pleasantly surprised when I received the Daydreamer fountain. The quality is very nice, the size is perfect for my porch and it does not splatter. Fountain was advertised as gray colored but the one I received was dark green with touches of gold. I actually like the green better but it does look gray in the shade. Great value, but all the varnish baked off.
Great value for the price, wonderfull and comfortable, but of course, all the varnish baked and flaked off of the wood before the summer ended. Then again, most benches I see around have the same problem. Still I wish the varnish had lasted a few years, at least.

If you're up for the "rustic" look, or re-varnishing it yourself (which shouldn't be too hard, but then, I can be pretty lazy), this is a great buy.

damaged shipping box and missing parts
The cardboard carton was torn in many places and had been re-taped in an attempt to keep the box together. In addition, an essential part was missing. The side brace that supports weight was missing. This was discovered just about the time the bench had been completely assembled. Not likely that it can be returned due to the condition of the carton and the weight of the bench.

Astonica 50102314 Bench
This is a well built and ez to put together "park" bench.

It has a heavy coating and is solid wood and steel.

DO NOT confuse it with the cheapos you will find at Rite Aid and food stores. This bench has better formed wood and a heavy coating, the other cheap type is untreated and tends to come out of the box warped.

It is worth the difference!

Looks Good, Heavy Like A Rose

It is definately heavier and sturdier than the [$$$] bench you'll find at discount chains, but I suppose it sits about the same.It is not particularly comfortable for those 6' and over.

The instructions seem to have survived the translation from the Chinese more or less intact, but the drawing showed the seat support brackets connecting to holes in the frame that don't exist at a distance that is too far for the supports to reach anyway.I think I figured out where they are intended to go (behind the last rung of the seat slats) because the bench is fairly stable...

It ain't a $300 bench but it ain't $300 either..
I read the other reviews and realized I was taking a chance that it would arrive with missing or broken parts. It took only a week to arrive and although part of the carton flap was torn open all the parts were there.
Assembly - like has been mentioned, ignore the instructions and start with the two lower narrow wood slats first then a couple of the larger slats. After you loosly fasten those to the side frames, loosely fasten the one narrow slat at the top followed by the rest resuming from the bottom. When you get to the last back slats, rest the last four in the frame and fasten them up to the top one at a time. This will help you from wrestling the last few into place. Like others have said, you will have to use a drill to make pilot holes for the three support straps. For the middle support strap, I drilled holes for the top, bottom then middle slats first and screwed them in tight (be careful not to drill through the slat or you'll have small holes to fill on the finished sides of the slats). Then I drilled each hole one at a time inserting and tightening each screw before going on to the next on the rest of the slats. By drilling and tightening and each one in turn, it made it easier to line up the drill for each of the pilot holes. The whole thing took 2 hours with one person. A helper to balance the heavy sides as you place the slats could have saved about 20 minutes or so.
Finished product - The quality is pretty much what yu would expect .....- no free rides here. The wood slats are not of exceptional grade and in my case, at least, will have to be sanded and refinished. The slats were left somewhat rough before the stain was applied. The iron sides are heavy enough but the finish also is less than one would expect for a quality bench. As others have mentioned, the feet are small and while you won't tip over easily, they would sink into a soft surface.
Conclusion - A bench for $59 it ain't. This two person bench is well worth the $60 IF it's an occaisional use bench and it arrives intact (as mine did). I gave it three stars (would have given a 2.5) rating it against all the benches I've looked at. As a ...value, I would rate it a 5 - it met the exepctations for the price.
One note about Amazon: I have had nothing but good service from them and found them to be extremely responsive to any problems. I would expect that if you take a chance on this bench and you have a problem with anything missing or broken they won't leave you hanging. ... Read more

Great wine rack

Surprisingly Attractive
I was pleasantly surprised by this piece. It is much nicer than I expected. The iron work is of decent quality and the tile work is basic but attractive. For the price offered you can't go wrong. The piece is so nice we are using it inside the house. Amazon was offering this at seventy percent off retail. I did not expect such a fine quality product for such a low price. Pier One has a similar table with inferior, bland tile work and that table costs 25% more than I paid for this far superior piece. This looks like a table that costs the amount listed as full retail. To get the product at such a significant discount is a real steal.

The piece is very heavy and solid. It was very easy to assemble and I needed no tools to assemble it. You simply place the top piece onto the base and attach it using the supplied nuts.
