Excellent Teak Chair for the Price
I bought two of these chairs and was very happy with the quality. Teak steamer chairs are generally priced at over $600. I ordered another one of these today. The reviewer who said you could get the same thing at Costco is mistaken. The Costco steamer is not made of teak - therefore not the same thing at all. The reason these chairs are such a deal is that they are crafted of teak, which as many of us know, is the finest wood available for outdoor furniture. Buy the Costco chair if you want, I am sure it's very nice, but be prepared for weatherizing it every year. It will not deal with the elements as well as the teak crafted steamer.

Wow, send me another one!
Great chair! It came already assembled and I just took it out of the box, oila. The only issue I saw was some corrosion on some of the hardware, but an amazing chair for the price!

Very satisfactory product. Wood is heavy and joints are mortise and tenon, with wood pegs. Brass hardware is substantial; only modification I did was replace the 28 steel screws with brass, cost was $2 plus my time. Chair came unfinished, but took a coat of oil very evenly-looks great! Would recommend it without reservation.

Impressive Quality
I didn't expect the level of quality for the price of this piece. The wood is smooth, well-sanded, substantial. The construction appears to be excellent. I agree with the earlier reviewer that replacing the brass-plated screws with solid brass is a good and inexpensive idea. All in all, an exceptional buy.

Not perfect, but close enough
Nice, heavy teak chair, well made and substantial. Comfortable. And you couldn't buy the wood for this price, let alone the nice brass fittings. Unfinished, so you can either finish it ( I used a satin finish tung oil rather than a marine teak oil) or let it weather to that nice teak grey. There are a few drawbacks: a glue joint may have come loose in shipping (Gorilla Grip or similar urethane glue works well) and the smaller screws are brass plated steel (replace with solid brass from your local hardware store - cost about a buck and take all of fifteen minutes) but you can't beat the price. Horrible waste of money.
My mother gave me this set as a housewarming gift to my husband and I for our new apartment. The material was flimsy plastic, and half of the pieces were broken before we ever even opened the box. The other half broke while we tried to improvise a way to put it together. Don't waste your money on such shoddy quality.

I'm buying this too, despite the quality
Okay, read all the other reviews and know that the quality is not first rate. If you are looking for a bistro set that you can use in the intended way, this is probably not for you. However, think outside the box for a moment. I bought this set today because at $29.99, no tax, no shipping (which is $30 by itself) plus a fairly nice humming bird feeder, for me this is a screaming deal. Why?

I have a covered porch and intend to use the set as plant stands. They should be very decorative. If you have priced plant stands, you know that the cost of the table and chairs used for this purpose is very competitive. I also have the matching bird bath, which was similarly panned several months ago, but it has worked fine for me on my porch. Based on the assembly of the bird bath and its similar lower quality, I would suggest you use caution in assembling the table and chairs to avoid breakage. Once assembled and properly adjusted, you shouldn't have to worry about either the amount of weight or wobbling if you are going to use the table and chairs as plant stands.

I will revisit this review once I get the table and chairs assembled to let you know if there were problems.

I'm buying it anyway
They've brought the price down to $30 and thrown in a hummingbird feeder, plus no tax and free shipping also helped put me over the edge. Delivery to my door is worth a lot to me.

I'm not looking forward to having the wrench break and appreciate that warning. I'm not too wiggly so the chairs should suit my needs and the table can be stabilized. If there is danger of the chairs collapsing I'm sure Amazon would discontinue them. Don't you think they monitor reviews when a product is scored so low? I wouldn't have bought it for any more $ and without the feeder based on all the reviews.

Anyway, it and the bird feeder are scheduled to arrive by Jul 6 and I will report back with my assessment. I just thought it seemed a good deal at this price and I love, just love the design, from what I can see. At the very worst I'll need to place a chair in a corner to keep from tipping over but still have two flat areas to sort things out on--and the feeder, which looks lovely.

Now that I have really low expectations I can make better plans to use this needed set in my garage and outdoor areas. They're portable and not ugly. Fingers crossed. More after the 6th.

I say the price and the amount that I would save and thought what a good deal. I received it and put it together to realize that you get what you pay for. The chairs are very unstable and wobble when you sit on them. I would always worry that someone is going to fall right through them. The table is very small and is also very unstable. Fantastic Mini-greenhouse!
I ordered 2 of these last fall in order to get a head start on the 2004 seed starting season. Very simple to put together, and actually much larger than I expected; perfect in front of a large window or sliding glass door. good quality and good value for your dollar!

Love it! Great Service!!
Recieved quickly. Had small tear in vinyl that I could have taped, but I called Astonica to get a replacement. Having read some of the bad reviews I didn't know what to expect - but I was impressed. They replaced the WHOLE unit, and I was able to keep the other unit! 10 stars not 5!

Not for Heavy Use
I bought this last spring and was disappointed. First, it arrived with 1 shelf and one pole piece missing. It took almost 4 weeks to get replacement parts. The shelves were light and flimsy so don't count on loading lots of heavy containers on them, though very suitable for lightweight containers. Made the mistake of temporarily sitting it outdoors last fall, staking it to the ground, and the first night a thunderstorm destroyed the zippered cover. STILL haven't been able to get a replacement cover.

Absolutely wonderful..Better than I ever expected
Our son and daughter in law got this for us as a gift since we love starting seedlings indoors at least a few months before we transplant them, and this is a gem of a little green house that works splendid. It holds two seedling trays on each shelf, and the zipper door works like a gem and I place it near a window and away from drafts and it stays warm enough that within two weeks we had healthy seedlings up and going.

The nice thing about the two sided zipper doors is that as the seedlings grow and you want or need to reduce the heat inside you can unzip 1/4, 1/2, or the entire way the doors which allows plenty of protection but also cools the seedlings down.

And it isn't a shabby item but extremely well made and easy to assemble. And come spring when nights still get cool, you can place the whole thing outside and keep the zipper doors open all day and then zip up at night to protect from the cold.

And the price is excellent, and the item will last years and years I think, and is easy to take apart if you need to move or need to store during the summer etc. And its great for our small cottage so would be great on an apartment patio or large home back deck.

Fantastic & Lovely Dove & Rose Birdbath.
This birdbath is so unique. I purchased it for my husband's birthday, but I'm enjoying it as much or even more than he is. The bowl is just the right size for the smaller birds as well as the larger birds we have coming to our feeders. It's very easy to keep clean and full. I would certainly reccomend this to any bird watcher.

Bird Lover
This lovely birdbath has brought such beauty and enjoyment to my backyard. It is a nice change from the all metal baths out in the market. The decorative metal the stand matches my new pewter garden lights and I have had no problem with the finish on the basin. The depth of the bath is perfect and easy to clean. read the fine print
The product description clearly states that the pole is 1 7/8 inches around, but I didn't notice it, and I don't think you would either. Problem is this a larger than normal size (guessing 1 1/2) and it won't fit the hole in my brand new table or my brand new base. I noticed it as soon as I took it out of the box, the pole is huge! It looks good, but it will likely not fit your furniture. I've never seen an umbrella with this size pole before.

Also the description states the top is canvas, but it seemed like a much lighter poly material to me. Made in China.

Astonica fountains
Do NOT be fooled by the review here. They obviously have not seen the flaking paint on the metal fountains and the rust which results after a couple of months use. I also bought the "Lady" fountain which is also painted but made of composite with a poor quality paint job. If I could I would return these but, alas, I did not notice the poor quality until it was too late. I strongly advise against buying ANY Astonica products. I would have given this a minus rating if there was one so be aware that Astonica products do not deserve the 1 star in the required in the review field.

Fantastic Fountain
This fountain is not only beautiful, but very sturdy and was heavier than I expected. It was also easy to assemble.
The fountain looks great on my back deck. I love listening to the water while I relax outside.
I did have trouble with the pump noise at first. I solved the noise problem by putting the tubing under, rather than through, the turtle's mouth. The water still flows onto and over the lily pad and I can't hear any pump noise.I also successfully tried loosening the tubing which also reduced and nearly eliminated the pump noise.
A great fountain at a great price. I am very satisfied.

Ignore that "Do not buy" review
I bought this three years ago with a gift certificate. It's sturdy, has stood outside two winters with no problems, and looks great. The birds love it.

Inadequate protective packing
This was sent as a gift to my mother. Unfortunately, the first birdbath arrived with a broken edge on the bowl. The return went smoothly, and a replacement arrived promptly, but ALSO had a large chunk broken from the edge of the bowl. I don't know if it is only the protective packing which is inadequate, or if the bowl itself is too weak and would not have stood up over time, or would have broken easily if tipped over. We'll never have a chance to find out, as we are NOT opting to try another replacment!

I bought this as a Christmas gift...set it up in my friend's yard with a big red bow on it. It never survived the outdoors where it is supposed to serve the birds. ALL the paint chipped off the interior of the water pan leaving the gray aluminium exposed...the bird and twig perch broke from the cold and ice.
None of this was noticed until it was too late to return this item. Save your money and put out a plastic bucket for the birds to bathe in !!! This Bird Bath is strictly NOT FOR THE BIRDS...

long awaited birdbath
I have so many birds that come into my back yard that I decided to buy a birdbath, the birdbath looked really nice in my back yard except now the basin is peeling and underneath is an ugly gray color I thought that it was an all weather type of birdbath , I mean arent the birds outside? So im stuck with either painting it or let it peel completely to that ugly concrete grey color underneath.

Got it at Overstock.com
I've been looking at circular tree benches for awhile...wooden, do-it-yourself, etc.I liked this one because it was smaller, which works for my small yard. The price on this one is great... but it's discontinued!

When it was last in stock, I pondered a bit too long... "He who thinks long thinks wrong."

So I looked around the internet and found one at Overstock.com, for slightly more.The plus side was that I could order it in white!

It went together quickly with a screwdriver and a 10mm socket wrench.
